Need A Fake Phone Number
 

I need a fake phone number. A number you call that forwards to my real number I did a lookup last week but forgot what I searched for.

Prices began at $2 and I wanted the $3 choice. 100 minutes per month with no other chsrges.

I don’t want a real phone because of the cost and I don’t want lookups done. I need to stay hidden in the background.

All suggestions welcome. I used a service years ago but can’t remember which one it was.

I only saw helpful messages but thank you! I got a Google Voice number but didn’t know it announced it was being used. I realize voicemail won’t kick in as it is answered but for now it’ll do. Or, I was dialing from the number it forwarded to and it screwed it up. I’ll dial from a house phone tomorrow and see.

I’m curious, though. Who pays the long-distance charges from one location to another? My phone number isn’t my area code.

Virtualphone.com seems a good choice as well. No announcement beforehand.
