Trump says the EU is Americas enemy in new CBS interview (video)

As he does Putin's bidding in his correlated effort to make every allie an enemy, Trump declares the European Union Americas foe, then says that's not a bad thing. He's now officially going to be put through the meat grinder :1orglaugh

Sid70 07-15-2018 11:09 AM

As far as I recall EU was formed to economically defend the region against the US.

no - it was also an economic decision - but it is not a german idea. it was de Gaulle and Winston Churchil who had the idea of "unites states of Europe" already after WW2.

and it makes a lot of sense.

wrong again.

according to Churchill, it was ideological and political, not economic. He used the expression once, in a speech.

exerpt:

"Yet all the while there is a remedy which, if it were generally and spontaneously adopted by the great majority of people in many lands, would as if by a miracle transform the whole scene, and would in a few years make all Europe, or the greater part of it, as free and as happy as Switzerland is to-day. What is this sovereign remedy? It is to re-create the European Family, or as much of it as we can, and to provide it with a structure under which it can dwell in peace, in safety and in freedom. We must build a kind of United States of Europe. In this way only will hundreds of millions of toilers be able to regain the simple joys and hopes which make life worth living. The process is simple. All that is needed is the resolve of hundreds of millions of men and women to do right instead of wrong and to gain as their reward blessing instead of cursing.

Much work, Ladies and Gentlemen, has been done upon this task by the exertions of the Pan-European Union which owes so much to Count Coudenhove-Kalergi and which commanded the services of the famous French patriot and statesman Aristide Briand. There is also that immense body of doctrine and procedure, which was brought into being amid high hopes after the first world war. I mean the League of Nations. The League of Nations did not fail because of its principles or conceptions. It failed because these principles were deserted by those States who had brought it into being. It failed because the governments of those days feared to face the facts, and act while time remained. This disaster must not be repeated. There is therefore much knowledge and material with which to build; and also bitter dear bought experience to stir the builders."

since thommy has no idea what he's yapping about:

Berkeley is often ranked as a top-ten university in the world and the top public university in the United States.

For 2017–18, the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) ranked Berkeley 5th in the world.

Berkeley ranks 27th internationally in the QS World University Rankings.

It is additionally ranked 4th internationally by U.S. News & World Report.

Berkeley is ranked 18th internationally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and as the 6th most reputed university in the world by the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings.

It makes sense. Good for them to be strong together, just like the UNITED states :thumbsup

I think Trump is only going to trade with UK after BREXIT, if he's still around, and let UK trade our goods with EU.

dyna mo 07-15-2018 01:01 PM

more from Churchill showing it was not at all economic:

I was very glad to read in the newspapers two days ago that my friend President Truman had expressed his interest and sympathy with this great design. There is no reason why a regional organization of Europe should in any way conflict with the world organization of the United Nations. On the contrary, I believe that the larger synthesis will only survive if it is founded upon coherent natural groupings. There is already a natural grouping in the western hemisphere. We British have our own Commonwealth of Nations. These do not weaken, on the contrary they strengthen, the world organization. They are in fact its main support. And why should there not be a European group which could give a sense of enlarged patriotism and common citizenship to the distracted peoples of this turbulent and mighty continent? And why should it not take its rightful place with other great groupings and help to shape the onward destinies of men? In order that this should be accomplished there must be an act of faith in which millions of families speaking many languages must consciously take part.

i am pretty sure they would not even let you clean the toilets there.

or did you miss this part in your history lesson?

Churchill made his last speech about Europe at London’s Central Hall, Westminster in July 1957; some four months after six founding nations established the European Economic Community by signing The Treaty of Rome (France, Italy, West Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg). Churchill welcomed the formation of a ‘common market’ by the six, provided that ‘the whole of free Europe will have access’. Churchill added, “we genuinely wish to join”.

But Churchill also warned:

If, on the other hand, the European trade community were to be permanently restricted to the six nations, the results might be worse than if nothing were done at all – worse for them as well as for us. It would tend not to unite Europe but to divide it – and not only in the economic field.*”

If you look at the media you can say for sure that there are a lot poiticians in the EU that are enemies of Trump. And cause you need more parties to make a cabinet, and there are many countries, therefor are a lot of enemies of Trump. Some local departments organizing / helping protest against trump while they also are in the cabinet. Others openly say he is a racist. Recently the politicians of Amsterdam said the mayor of the city has to speak out against Trump new security rules on airlines..... So Trump has a point. I think in Holland Pechthold en Jesse Klaver are real enemies of Trump. Well Pechtold had so much bad press lately, he will be out of politics soon. Something to do that he mentally put so much pressure on his mistress/new girlfriend that she had to take an abortion pill. Promising that that would be better for their relationship and future together. She took the pill, called him she did it and than he broke up. Looks like many women didn't like that story. So he grabbed a woman by the pussy, made her pregnant, she wanted the baby, he pressed cause it would be bad for his reputation, making up nice story how they could be happy together without child, convinces her to take an abortion pill and dumped her the next day. But But But Trump is bad to woman...

- hating his Wall, while the EU has now walls everywhere and called Fort Europa.
- Nothing about the Wall between Mexico and Guatamala (that worked, stopped a lot of people).
- Every former president in the EU want a wall
- When there was some pussy grabbing in a Dutch green left party, the woman victim get rid of (she was for her study here), the guy was held the hand above the head as we call it. When that came out the leader of that political party started acting like a hollywood movie star, crying he felt so bad (while he was the one that tried to get rid of the girl)

Crocodile tears. They hate trump and trump hates them. Or is just ignoring most of them.

I'll jump to the facts:

1. if you had a Cal grad working for you then you'd know that Cal grads call Berkeley "Cal" in work environments, not Berkeley. We refer to it as Berkeley in situations like this thread because no one here knows its nickname, it's just Cal.

2. If you had a Cal grad working for you you would know it's spelled Berkeley, not Berkly, it's on the resume and he wouldn't let you get away with spelling it Berkly either. And there's not a chance in hell ex-Cal faculty would refer to it as "Berkly".

the fact you attack Cal students for drinking and enjoying time away from the books only proves you're jealous. And yes, a typical Cal student could party harder than you np.

the fact is Unis are measurable to a large degree and Unis can easily be ranked. Anyone with an education knows that.

anyone with an education also knows that the "level of brainwash between Cal grads and NK" is not measurable and consequently impossible to prove.

I have no idea where Cal profs live, Cali is very expensive.

Yup, Cal isn't cheap. Not that you'd be accepted anyway, so no need for you to worry so much, you have no chance.
