Tea Party lawmaker calls Trump ‘traitor to this country’ after Putin press conference

Tea Party lawmaker Joe Walsh on Monday said he was completely done with President Donald Trump in the wake of his jaw-dropping joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Walsh, who backed Trump in 2016 but who has been critical of the president’s attacks on law enforcement agencies, wrote on Twitter that he would no longer consider voting for him in 2020.

“Look, I’m no big deal, but today is the final straw for me,” he wrote. “I will never support Trump again. If that makes me a NeverTrumper, so be it.”

Walsh then took things a step farther and said he believed it was possible that Trump’s actions have been treasonous.

“I am a tea party conservative, that will never change,” he wrote. “But Trump was a traitor to this country today. That must not be accepted. Speak out.”

Trump’s press event with Putin has been widely panned by former U.S. diplomats and intelligence officials, as the president cast doubt on his own intelligence agencies’ conclusions that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election while also praising Putin’s offer to have his own intelligence agencies investigate themselves.

Joe Walsh is a stupid idiot, but other moderates and erstwhile supporters seem, and I say seem, to be noticing something as well.

Not that President Trump is a traitor, but that he is mishandling NATO-Russian Chinese relations. In other words, the parts of the globe that control 90% of the wealth and power.

Perhaps this is amateurish behavior, who knows. But if he gets swamped in midterms, it is over in my opinion.

Basically Sascha Baron Cohen wore some heavy prosthetic makeup to hide who he was to interview a bunch of politicians (dems and republicans). Near the end of the show he tries to see if he can get support for a program he wants to run, to arm and train todlers to use guns.

It's a completely ridiculous and stupid idea that would make any sane person want to kick Cohen out the door of course, but surprise - it never happens.

The smartest republican is Rep Matt Gaetz from Florida that you see at the beginning of the clip. There's no way he will fall for this trick, and good for him for seeing through the bullshit.
