A Question About Pop Ups... (Tech)
So I am adding a pop up (or pop behind) to SLUT BANK This will be used as a promotional tool, to promote various revenue streams, both our own and also affiliates...
My tech guy (new to adult) is struggling with implementing it... the way he was going to do it, hasn't really worked... it supposedly works on older browsers, but not the newer ones like Chrome and Firefox... He mentioned a change in Chrome for example that came in March, to stop pop ups/pop unders… That being said I was pretty sure they brought in things to stop pop ups/unders ages ago... but I seem to get them all the time, especially on the tubes (when I am doing research) He found this piece of software which supposedly is what every one is using to get them to work, even in the newer browsers... POPUNDERS JS Anyone used it or know of another way, preferably cheaper than the $199 a year for one domain price tag ? |
This is a good thread.... Somehow people are doing it. Not often, but some people can still do it.

As you said popunder.js is what everyone uses and for good reason, it works.
If you want to run your own pops it really is the only option and has been for some time. |
Thanks...

That Being Said...
That being said, I just read their "Frequently Asked Questions" and it says...
"Is possible to make pop under on page load, hover or unload ?" to which they answer... "There is no way to make pop under on page load (onload) event or before closing window (unload) or hover. It’s possible if you’re in before 2007. Pop under only works when you touch/click to page content." Which confuses me a bit... I get loads of pop ups and pop unders, usually on tube sites (when I am doing research) :winkwink: They either open behind the current browser or in a new tab... but the way they speak it only works if the surfer clicks on something... :helpme |
Any Ideas...
Any input from the Euro Crew ? :helpme

That being said I have tried it on Explorer, Chrome and Edge... Firstly a old version of Windows Explorer, this is the browser I use to watch all my TV series on from a site called NewEpisodes.co this always tries to load a pop up... but I have pop up blocker turned on... it always alerts me to the fact that it’s trying to load a pop up, which I obviously refuse... however when I open up Slutbank no warning... I would of thought even with my pop up blocker turned on, I would of got a warning... Secondly I use chrome a lot, I always get pop ups when I use Chrome (like I said things like tube sites for example) I just checked PornHub and YouJizz, both gave me a pop up, even if not on load up... instead when I clicked on something, one loaded a new tab (YouJizz) and one loaded a pop up (PornHub) However when I tried SlutBank again nothing... Finally I tried Edge, again both PornHub and YouJizz returned pop ups when I clicked on something... and again nothing on SlutBank... I know for Chrome and Edge I haven’t worked out how to put any kind of Pop Up Blocker in place, not even sure they have them :( But I really expected to at least get a warning on Explorer... as I do for all other sites :( I even tried adding slutbank to the allowed sites in Explorer and got nothing... :( Am I going mad, or has he done something wrong... :Oh crap |
