You very well could be right, and I thought the same for a long time. But think about this, what could Putin have on Trump that would be more damaging than coming out and saying 'yea we fucked with your election and Trump knew about it and helped us' (which is more likely than not true). It probably is the only thing that could bring Trump down, anything else the republicans would ignore and Trump would survive. But who knows, there's probably 10 different things.

This might have been a long term investment by Russia into Donald Trump. There was discussions about Trump running for President decades ago. There is a interview where he said he would make a great President. Even if he never ran, Trump was well known, and had met and or was friends with a lot of influential government members - Presidents, Secretaries Of State, Congressmen, Senators, and so on... It makes sense that Russia would try to get Trump to work with them. Once they decided to do this, they started investing money into him. It seems that a lot of Russians spent a lot of money on Trump's condos, yet no one seems to know who they are. Didn't Trump buy a house in Florida on the cheap from a Russian, and then sold it at a huge profit to yet another Russian?

Let's just assume this is true... Then they have Trump on video tape working for the Russians. It's simple. They fly into NY or his hotel in Florida, set up a video camera, have a discussion with him about how much money they can loan him, and what they want from him in return. Now he is being blackmailed.

Normally I don't believe in this kind of stuff. But something isn't right here, and there is way too many connections to Russians.

But i can clarify some things about what my beliefs are

1) I know i'm Conservative.
2) I know that political bias colors my perspective on events.
3) I don't particularly care about politics or arguing politics.
4) What fascinates me more are the irrational behaviors of all involved.
5) I don't think Trump is good. I don't think Trump is bad. I don't think Trump is right. I don't think Trump is wrong. I just don't believe it matters.

What I personally believe in is the overall balance which naturally tends to occur. Though someone biased towards the liberal point of view would never agree, I would simply say that Trump is the polar opposite of Obama. Obama was the polar opposite of Bush. Bush one was the polar opposite of Clinton. Clinton was the polar opposite of Reagan and so on and so on and so on. There's nothing unexpected either in personalities or behaviors.

Following Trump will be... of course, someone believed to be the polar opposite of Trump.

Of course there should be opposition. That leads to discussion and debate.

But we don't have that anymore and your Canadian colleges as well as Europeans are just as big a part of the problem as anyone with the non-stop hysteria. Of course everyone was all too happy when "Their guy" won a Nobel Peace Prize in spite of having done nothing at all and who shortly after stepped up airstrikes, drone attacks and the wiping out of Pakistani and Afghani wedding parties.

Opposition is not "hysterical ranting and raving". Opposition was intended to be "here's a better plan" or "your plan lacks XY and Z but here is how we can make it better". Thats the primary benefit of opposition.
