Of course you do, you're on the internet.

I for one have never read a book of fiction. I've tried but just the idea of reading someones imagination and re-imagining it in my head, being too aware of this makes it impossible for me to enjoy a book. Learning or factual type books I can read no problem. That is to say being online we've all probably read thousands of books in comparison.

I go back and forth. I'll read a few fiction books then I will read a few non-fiction. Right now I am reading a book called Disrupted. It's non-fiction and is about a guy who for 20 years wrote for Newsweek then lost his job because the internet is killing magazines. Since he had reported on the tech world, he decided to join it and got a job at HubSpot and found himself a 50 year old rookie in a business filled with twenty-somethings. It's interesting and funny. I also am reading another non-fiction called Redeployed which is a collection of essays from a veteran who served in Iraq. The essays cover things that happened to him and his friends in battle and him having to adjust to live back home. It's really good.

I don't read fiction.

Right now I am reading two books. One about German submarines in WWII and also another book about Churchill. I read a lot of WWII stuff.

i cunt read... the only way i can read gfy is i have my computer read it out loud to me...

Only read GFY as I wanna make sure everything I absorb is 100% truth and don't wanna pollute my mind with false information from unknown authors of books. :winkwink:

Long time ago I did, these days not so much as busier combined with having the laziness of HBO, Netflix, YouTube etc... Do tend to prefer documentaries or movies based on true events as then ya combo entertainment/education. :2 cents:

All the fiction is really reflected and refracted reality.

I started to read a lot of comics recently, you don't need to imagine anything, it's drawn there.

Huge reader. Every night since I could read I've read in bed. Dean Koontz, Sandra Brown, John Grisham are among my favorites. I can get into fiction but not aliens or fake crimes. Fake porn is the worst as they always get something wrong.

I bought a Kindle when they came out ($259) and upgraded to Paperwhite ($99 w/ trade-in) a few years ago. Rather than having an entire bedroom of shelves and books, I have 1,100 books on one lightweight device, light attached, no page turning.

Favorite books I've read at least twenty times: Watchers by Dean Koontz, Helter Skelter by Vince Bugliosi and a few others that amnesia won't let me remember right now.

I'll read romance but only if explicit sex is included. No bodice rippers, missionary position or chaste kisses. Nothing historical in every genre.

Helter Skelter reminds me that I saw the book and wanted to read it. Mom put it in hiding because "perverted sexual activity" was in the book. Years later I bought a copy and found nothing perverted in my mind. The sex scenes were normal and boring!

You're good to read thru kindle. The feeling of having a physical book between your hands is awesome. I'd rather spend 10-15 % more and get the physical book. Plus, it's cool to have a big library.

For my part. I've read fiction when I was younger. Now I only read motivational stuff, Napoleon Hill, Bryan Tracy, Grant Cardone, Gary Vaynerchuck, Tony Robins etc. That kind of stuff. I also love reading about new stuff.

Sorry to hear that . . .

I’d prefer a book but .., disability prevents it. Plus I’m not in my house with three extra bedrooms. One room so the Kindle saves room. I get free books every day if I want them. Now I’m really picky about the books. I used to grab every book that interested me but now I’m careful.

I could read all day. In September I’ll go to the beach in a beach wheelchair with my Kindle, cans of soda and ice. I’ll do that until the weather gets down to 40 degrees.

Reading on the beach was my hobby at home! No phones, no faxes, no television— just the nice weather, the Kindle, snacks and drinks. Relaxing in a lounger on the beach is just what I needed to forget work and problems.

Six more weeks......
