Another day and another shrimp voter has regrets and will never vote for Trump again.

‘I’m ashamed’: Trump voter admits she got it wrong after ICE deports her daughter

A woman who voted for President Donald Trump in 2016 this week expressed regret after the president’s government agents deported her daughter-in-law to Mexico.

The Associated Press this week published a lengthy profile of Letty Stegall, an undocumented immigrant who is married an American citizen and Kansas City resident named Steve Stegall, and who has a 17-year-old daughter who is also an American citizen.

In one part of the profile, the AP interviews Steve Stegall’s mother, Shirley Stegall, about whether she regrets voting for Trump in 2016 — and she admits she does.

“I’ve always been proud to be an American,” she said. “But now I’m ashamed.”

Steve Stegall, who did not vote for Trump in 2016, tells the AP that he has grown increasingly intolerant of the president’s supporters, even when they admit that his wife shouldn’t have been deported.

“He’s destroying American lives,” Steve says of the president. “How can you do this? How can you do this to your own American people?”

Letty Stegall, meanwhile, regularly talks with her family over video chat in her new home in Mexico — but she says she deeply misses her family and is baffled as to why she was targeted by ICE for deportation.

“They didn’t take out the people who are dangerous,” she tells the AP. “The murderers are still there. The gangsters are still there. The rapists are still there.”

Your reading comprehension is that of a second grader. No way you're a big baller like you claim.

They have no sympathy or empathy for others, but when it backfires and fucks THEM in the ass then they have regrets!

Her son and granddaughter are going to suffer because of her miserable ass

How did they not see this coming? Who did they think they were voting for? What did they think "build a wall" meant?

I'm sorry, but I don't feel bad for her.

Exactly. This is nothing new. Trump promised this would happen in his campaign back in 2016.
Everyone is shocked and surprised when it's become reality.

You're the ignorant idiot who couldn't understand the article. It took a Democrat to explain it to you like you're a two year old.

Your ignorance is a perfect example of Republican nitwism and proof of why Trump loves the poorly educated.

Agreed. And sounds like she has two real ties to the US, to be able to start the legal way to come back in. Not sure what the time ban is though when deported?

If she is married to an American, and has a daughter here, at some point in time she should have applied for citizenship. I understand this can be a scary and challenging thing to do - You can go years waiting for everything to be finalized, and in the event you break any kind of a law you can be instantly deported.

I surely do not support illegal immigration; I don't believe anyone does. If anyone wants to come to the United States they should be encouraged to do so, but if you come here illegally eventually you will be caught and then sent home - and then be unable to apply for citizenship for the next ten years.

This woman who got deported is screwed. Her husband cannot leave the United States - he has a business here, a house, and a kid in school. Best case she will be able to have her husband and daughter visit her. Yikes.

Rochard 07-23-2018 07:31 PM

I should add in when I lived in Phoenix a friend of mine became a US citizen. I helped him study for the citizenship test, and he invited me to the ceremony. I thought it would be lame. Instead, it was very moving with people talking about how they came to the US with just the clothes on their back and ten years later they've gone to college and have their own business and own a house.

Us Americans really do not understand how good we have it.

I guess she thought the bad hombres were gonna get deported... cold slap of reality that the actual BAD hombres are majority born here and aint going nowhere. And they dont care much for paisas.

King Mark 07-23-2018 10:36 PM

When you know the ins and outs of all angles its fucked up. Them paisas (mexican citizens) come here and a lot of times (especially out west) they get terrorized and extorted by mexican american gangs. Gotta give up they honest hard earned money to these cholos. They deal with it because its better than what they ran from, but then to get deported while them cholos get to stay... gotta suck lol
