Question for Epoch users
Hi All
Quick question for Epoch users, do you get much via their Paypal signup option ? What sort of percentage is it ? Im loathe to use Epoch or even CCBill cos their rates are sky high (12 - 15% compared to 5.7% through our own merchant account). We do have ccbill but only as a backup processor and, as far as im aware, they have no plans to implement paypal Wondering if its worth ditching ccbill and going over to Epoch purely for the paypal signup option ?? Appreciate any thoughts |
message us at [email protected] or call 1-877-488-8885. We have been doing daily payouts with rates starting in the 2%'s for over 10 years. FDIC insured banks.

We are CCBill exclusive right now but also interested in diversifying with Epoch and other billing methods.
We had talked to them about this a few months ago. The Paypal option is only available for a certain % of joins. After you reach that mark that option disappears until the credit card joins balance it out. |

No, but they are the only ones to wrestle adult subs out of Paypal, so still worth it. Was hoping could just get Paypal from them and not Visa/MC since already have that with CCBIll, and could just use EPOCH in the CCBill cascade system, but no go on that either.
Still looking to add them, though, later this year. |
as a credit card user online why would i use my credit card on paypal, pay paypal fees, to sign up for if i can do it without paying paypal fees,
paypal want credit card details if you click through to pay by paypal even if you have a balance in your paypal account |
I don't understand the question?
I generally always opt to pay for things online with Paypal over CC if there is a choice. You don't pay fees to buy things, either. |
If you have a credit card linked to your paypal account then you dont need to keep entering the details. Just a couple of clicks and your done.
And there's no fees. The seller pays the fees rather than the user |
I have Epoch running as the 3rd billing tier on my paysites and with that minimal volume, it still pulls in PayPal users.
For somebody starting fresh, I would definitely recommend adding Epoch for the PayPal element. Switching from CCBill? Not sure it would be worth the work unless you had a nice volume of traffic going to that billing tier. |
