Over in the UK the past few days a Muslim man deliberately threw acid over a 3 year old kid in his pram. Here is the response from the authorities:

Shooting happened Sunday 10pm, it took nearly 24 hours to know who the shooter was and it was the Family not the police who came out first. My guess was that the police knew he was middle eastern and were trying anything to say it had nothing to do with his middle eastern ties.

The longer it went without a name, the more it became painfully obvious he was probably middle eastern. Also the media spent the better part of the day saying he was light skinned or white, which they also do in Europe when it's a person of middle eastern decent.
