Mainstream Media? Social Media?... Trust? or Don't Trust?

Mainstream Media? Social Media?... Trust? or Don't Trust?

Seems with all of the politics as of the last year; the biggest eye opener was how one sided I have seen the mainstream media on so many different topics.

Then I see the media pushing on hot button issues just to get clicks.

I do notice the crazy and bad shit get the most clicks and views over anything positive.

Then you have public crucifixion via social media. We have seen People get found guilty and destroyed in one day over a tweet. These tweets have been facts out of context or claims with zero evidence or just made up evidence to fit an agenda or narrative. And worst of all it gets done with people who have an ax to grind.

Best Example:

Chris Hardwick seriously got torn a new one off of a post from an ex. The media and the public seriously came after him and ruined this guy in a day! And after the investigation a month later, it turns out he did nothing wrong.

Too late, damage done and people will always think he did something wrong because a story this positive or clears people get 5% the views as a dirt filled story with crazy allegations gets.

I feel for this guy! I can defiantly speak from a person who did nothing wrong and felt the wrath of my peers and public via social media and mainstream media.

"Why let the facts get in the way of a good story?"

I seriously got asked some of the dumbest and craziest question from mainstream media... And non of it was to get to the truth! They were trying to fit their fucked up Narrative.

What do you guys think the future of mainstream media and social media? Discuss

Many years ago I came across the HBO series The Wire.

Great series.

Every character. Every season. Every episode. I would say 1 of the best TV series' ever, many agree.

Each season had a centralized theme.

The 5th season covered the media. Was truly eye-opening. Watching a reporter completely fabricate a story, his bosses knew about it but ignored it and instead kept pushing him to go forward. All to win a prize.

Never looked at media the same way again.
