Hardlink decisions

So would you rather spend $800 a year for :
a hard link on a 56 DA site that's targeting your niche, and been around for 10 years or :

use that money to buy multiple smaller, sites not exactly targeting your niche ( but still adult )?

or

spend $500 for a 56 DA site that's been around long time , but is not targeting your main niche.

Normally, one link form a big site beats many links from smaller sites. But that has to be a really good one. DA56 isn't that good, but I guess it's worth 500 bucks.

Thanks, what about $500 for 56 da not targeting your niche vs $800 56 da target your niche?

Both could work, but it is hard to say that in general. I would look at both sites and analyze their backlink profiles. If they have strong backlinks that's a good sign. If they have typical SEO links pointing at them it would be a bad sign.
Try to buy for 2 or 3 moths and see how it works out.

Alright I'll do it. What I noticed so far is that after spending some on hardlinks from sites that target my niche, my site appears on page 2 for my desired phrase, then it disappear only to reappear few days later. Totally not stable as for now, but that may suggest a problem with seo on my site, I think?

It's the google dance. Totally normal for 3 weeks or so. Build more good inbound links and keep the work up with good quality and diversification.

Oh alright then. I will continue to work on this more :)

Also have you switched to SSL? If not, talk to your host about getting that done ASAP.

No I haven't. So this is helpful for seo purposes? I'll let Mojo know about it.

You will stabilize it with more links to that particular page.
Anyway, relevant high authority links in your niche are more useful than many weaker ones.
Check that site's trust flow and citation flow

Google is slapping any site without SSL. So yes, you must have this in place.

Google also likes it when you get links to Pages within your website. Sub domains and sub folders ... Not just links to your index page.

Examples..
sub.domains.com and domains.com/subfolders/
