Best domain registrars today?
I'm asking and need some recommendations...
Competitive annual prices, reliable and track record is on my wish list. Also the EU law that came to effect earlier this year and impacted how registrars sold ID protection, did that have any effect? |
Still the best on my end Namesilo.. low prices, free whois (however nowadays even namecheap is offering that)
|
Best ones: Namesilo, Porkbun, Dynadot ;)
|
+1 namesilo (best)
-1 godaddy (worst, for many reasons) |
Just avoid godaddy.... this company still lives in 2000's

I'm considering namesilo, and how about namecheap?
Yea godaddy have a tendency to piss off every customer that dares to purchase anything from them. :1orglaugh Taking more suggestions & comments... |
Namecheap is kinda ok, however the prices are higher then everywhere else (i looked) and the 'new' layout (introduced 2-3 years ago) sucks pretty much, you have to click around a lot just to achieve basic things, where with namesilo its a lot easier and faster and cheaper too lol

Informative thread, thanks.

Sticking with namesilo.
Plus I recently purchased a premium domain with them (large transaction) and it transferred to my account flawless. |

There is a live chat support responding within a minute and you have to love it. |
Yes I know about the coupons, but why should I mess around with that if I can get the same or better price without coupons at namesilo? :) However you are right about live support, it's pretty fast.

Namecheap - nice and clean layout, good prices, free whois protection
Used to like Godaddy due to their coupons but those are rare these day, they keep increasing prices, the site gets quite complicated with annoying offers you have to refuse and I think they still doesn't have free whois protection (not sure here as registrars do protect whois data for free for European cutomers due to GDPR, so whois is protected if you are from EU) ... so I am moving all my stuff to Namecheap. |
https://fabulous.com/ i pay $9.99 for a .com with free whois protection.
|
If you need to be anonymous use uniregistry
|
Namecheap for me. Free privacy for life rocks!
|
Been with Namecheap for a very long and haven't found a reason to switch yet.
|
Most of my domains are with Namesilio.
