Wow - the city council has no control over who gets a star and what stars stay and what stars go. That is decided by the chamber of commerce, which has stated many time that it does not remove stars, which are part of its status as a national landmark. Lots of outlets reporting what OP posted, so he can be forgiven for thinking this is fact.

It seems you want to think everything remains the same and the city of Hollywood has unlimited funds to have 24/7 police protection of Trump's star on the Walk of Fame, this simply is not true.

There is only so long they're going to protect Trump's star and so many times they are going to replace Trump's star after being destroyed over & over again.

They have promised to review it but took pains to point out that the west Hollywood council had no say over what happens to it

The reason there are no plans to remove the star right now is because they have not convened yet. They're taking up the issue the next time they convene.

So it's been voted that Trump's star be removed, and the executive committee will make a final decision the next time they convene.

Trumps star has already been destroyed twice.

Not replacing his car is not the same as removing it. They can easily vote to not replace Trump's star or to replace it with a new star, maybe one dedicated to Carrie Fisher.


I called the Hollywood Chamber of commerce and spoke with Loraine at the front desk at 323-469-8311. She advised that the Executive Committee is meeting at the end of the month to take up this issue. She also said that Leron Gubler is on vacation the rest of the week.
