Trump & kids, including real first-lady Ivanka, sued for violating state charity laws

Trump and family sued by New York attorney general over alleged charity violations

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...ral-violations

Quote:

The attorney general of New York state sued the Donald J Trump charitable foundation, President Trump and three of his children on Thursday for violating state charity laws, alleging that the Trumps used charitable assets as “little more than a checkbook for payments to not-for-profits from Mr Trump” and his companies.

Foundation assets, acquired through tax-deductible donations, were used to settle legal claims against one of Trump’s golf clubs and to buy a painting of Trump to be displayed at another club, the suit alleges.

The lawsuit, filed by the attorney general, Barbara Underwood, on the morning of Trump’s 72nd birthday, seeks $2.8m in restitution and penalties from Trump and asks for the distribution of $1m in assets to other charities.

In addition to Trump, the lawsuit names his children Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric.

Trump began tweeting soon after the charges were filed, dismissing the lawsuit as the work of “the sleazy New York Democrats””. (Bahahahahahahaha so guilty)

...Episodes of alleged wrongdoing highlighted by the lawsuit include a charity fundraiser for veterans that Trump held on 28 January 2016, when he was a presidential candidate. Trump held the benefit in lieu of participating in a presidential debate.

**ALLEGED** - So they bought a 10K painting at a charity auction- Oh No!! :1orglaugh

“The sleazy New York Democrats, and their now disgraced (and run out of town) A.G. Eric Schneiderman, are doing everything they can to sue me on a foundation that took in $18,800,000 and gave out to charity more money than it took in, $19,200,000. I won’t settle this case!” Mr. Trump tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Clinton Foundation has 486 employees.

Total revenue (2014): $178M.

Total grants to charity: 5.1 million.

Total expenses: $91M (Salaries 34M + "other expenses" 57M)

So it required 486 people, who got paid 34M + 57M in expenses, to give away 5.1 million!

This is one of the greatest white-collar crimes ever committed. They should be in prison.

The Trump people seem to think they can do whatever they want. Having Trump as President put them under the world's biggest microscope. This is just the very beginning of their problems.

Mark, you don't see a problem with the data I posted?

If the Trump Foundation paid out more than 100% of the money it took in, what's the problem? This desperate ploy by Democrats was announced 6 weeks ago, the same day the IG report dropped info about "crimes against children" from the Clinton camp.

So Trump is bad for giving away more than 100%, and the Clintons are good when they give away around 5% and are involved in crimes against kids.. ?

Dude. You keep doing the same thing. Any time someone posts about Trump breaking the law, you try to change the conversation and bring up the Clintons.

Understand this: It doesn't matter what the Clintons did. If they did anything at all, it does not make it ok for Trump to break the law. This is nothing at all about Trump being better or worse than Clinton as a president. It is about Trump and the people around him, breaking the law. That's it, that's all.

Every time you try to change the subject and cry "Yeah but what about the emails?" You sound like a fool.

How could they pay out more than they take in?

I'm sorry, everything the Trump foundation was doing was illegal. All of it.

At one point they took in hundreds of thousand of dollars, and used that money to buy a painting of Donald Trump to hang in one of his hotels. They used a charity foundation to furnish their hotel.

They also used money to pay off fines for their golf course.

No worries, I'm sure when they dig deeper they will find more.

I'm sorry that you're so easily duped by the fake news Washington Compost, but here is the actual tax return proving that my data is accurate, and not "fake news".

Clinton Foundation Spent Less Than 6 Percent On Charitable Grants In 2014

But yeah, let's all just ignore this massive fraud.

It looks like they pretty much were doing whatever they wanted for years. They likely would have gone on doing so had Trump not won the election.

The Trump organization had been violating the emoluments clause since the day Trump was sworn in, despite Trump's fmpty promise to step away from all his businesses. 2 months ago a judge allowed on emoluments case against Trump , his hotel & the Trump organization to begin and discovery for that case to begin.

This is how the rich operate. Oh, major lawsuit because you ran a scam called Trump University? No problem.... Just settle out of court. Or pay a fine.

And now we found out "American Media INC" (National Enquirer) has been "buying" stories about Donald Trump and just burying them.

This isn't going to stop. Trump can be impeached and removed from office in the morning, and this investigation will continue. Watergate went on for years, and over sixty people were indicted - most of which went to jail. Now we know, for a fact, that there was illegal dealings with Trump's Campaign. So Mueller will have to investigate this and see what other laws were violated. You can just imagine what that will uncover.

This is just disgusting all around.
