most likely either you are using a shared ip or your ssl cert was issued to a different domain from the one you installed it on.

faperoni 08-30-2018 01:40 PM

Did it work before or did it just break? It looks like it expired or was never setup correctly, you could use cloudflare and use their free ssl option or get a free ssl cert from https://letsencrypt.org/ (requires some setup). Maybe best to ask your programmer or hosting company.

baddog 08-30-2018 01:41 PM

What they said; your SSL is incorrect; shared IP?

iīve only just changed it to https, using wp.

it says "SSL activated! Don't forget to change your settings in Google Analytics and Webmaster tools."

which I have done...

reading other peoples comments, it seems the hosting company is needing to deal with this.

Iīll speak with them, thank you :thumbsup

dyna mo 08-30-2018 02:25 PM

you're welcome.

venus 08-30-2018 02:33 PM

this isnt the hosting company, you need a new ssl cert. one that has your domain name, I use godaddy for mine

so even with a shared hosting, I can get a new ssl cert from my domain company to set it up?

It was all ok until I changed to ssl https through the wordpress.

MakeMeGrrrrowl 08-30-2018 03:03 PM

This is why you hire someone who knows what they are doing with this important stuff, and my gosh, why do you have your blog on a shared IP? Or are you only sharing among your own sites?

mikeet 08-30-2018 03:36 PM

Sounds like a PositiveSSL Multi domain issue.. this happened to me a while back had to hit up hosting support for help.

it should be done automatically with a new domain and renewal, however, using a new serving company it must not have been done and only now changing to https from http, has it noticed.

I notice a massive drop in my traffic and now a few sales drop throughout the week for past 2 weeks or so...

dyna mo 08-30-2018 03:55 PM

where are ssl certs automatically bought and installed on new domains?

not sure. When I checked on my domain server about ssl, it stated that it would be automatically updated using the admin email, this probably the problem, I didnīt have an [email protected] email at the time, now set up.

Although, so far, after messing about, Thank you to a GFYer neels, a very amazing person weīre both grateful to have received skype from! A big thank you to our mystery caller! :thumbsup

venus 08-30-2018 04:32 PM
