Campus bans Sept. 11 memorial for 'bias' against Muslims

Jtfc, so the school equates Muslims with terrorists.
Nice messaging. |
On 09/11/01 I was headed to school and every car on the highway had a flag hanging out its window.
Flipped on Howard Stern. Learned the news. Got to class, PoliSci 101. CNN was on. Everyone was watching. Class canceled shortly thereafter. Went home. More CNN. One of those days one will never forget. |
Somehow we went from this..
https://i.imgur.com/Cb7KKAq.jpg to being afraid to offend muslims. Unreal. |
Well you sure showed saddam and wiped out 200k iraqis because your ally saudi organized 9/11 LOL
You are not terrorists at all...noooooo...the 200k do not count because they were not white or american...but the 3k americans that your ally saudi killed in 9/11 will hurt as long as pearl harbor...9/11 is still good for milking for at least 100 years... Next time spin the wheel and blame another random country and then avoid talking about it and pretend that random invasions are normal... |
This looks like a legit news source: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/
Once again we have fake news. The group involved is the Ripon Young Americans for Freedom, which is exactly what you think it is. It turns out in 2017 they had this "event" and there was a lot of complaints about it. There is a huge difference between remembering 9/11 and bashing Muslims. In 2017 this group made violent and gore filled posters that had nothing to do with 9/11 and everything to do with displaying Muslims as murders and terrorists. A statement form the college says: “There has been much misinformation posted related to a recent discussion between Ripon College officials and student members of the Ripon College Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) chapter. The YAF posters are not, and have never been, banned.” This is what I love about the Internet. The truth is out there if you are willing to search for it. |
Is it random invasion time again like with Iraq?

the fact is there was an issue and there are two sides to it, it simply took a moment to get the facts sorted out. and the Washington Examiner has been around for decades. https://www.newsweek.com/wisconsin-c...osters-1098580 |

The original article states the college prevented this group from holding their event. It is completely incorrect, and this did not happen. It is fake news with the only intention of getting clicks and perhaps pissing people off. The link you posted from Newsweek backs up the fact that the college DID NOT prevent this event from happening. I am disgusted by fake news being passed off as truth when ten seconds on Google proves it's fake news. |

the link I posted from Newsweek proves it's fucking news. There are 2 sides to every story and stories break prior to getting them 100% perfect. Newsweek broke the same fucking story the day before, the Newsweek article even states it was updated. You'd have to be an imbecile to think any news story less than 100% perfect is fake news. You'd also have to be a total embecile to point to a Newseek news story and claim that news story proves the very same news story is not a news story. The news requires common sense and critical thinking, you'd have to be an even bigger embecile to think there's a news outlet that spoon feeds you 100% perfect news that does not require active participation on your part. |
Newsweek: The story has been updated to reflect comments from Ripon College. It was originally published with the headline Wisconsin College Bans 9/11 Memorial Posters Saying They Are Biased Against Muslims.
so Newsweek is fake news according to richard, because they didn't get the story 100% perfect. |
