San Bernardino shooting: 10 people shot by active shooter
 

At least 10 people have been shot in a mass shooting at an apartment complex in San Bernardino, California, police have said.

Officers were responding to an active shooter in the northeast of the city.

Three victims were in an “extremely critical” condition, a spokesman for the San Bernardino Police Department said.

Captain Richard Lawhead said multiple weapons were fired.

He said none of the victims had died.

I blame most current day violence on the access to sites like or similar to 4Chan (not limited to, just an example) where easily influenced people (like kids) feed off of other twisted humans. We never had school shootings like this before where extreme peer pressure wasn't as easily put on. Instead of having a room full of kids putting on the pressure now it's thousands.

After Columbine, school shootings have become a meme or a subject of comedy in so many dark places online, it has also become a worshiped topic among the troubled. The problem is, You have one kid with mental problems taking things too literal and getting ideas in his head and starts to have fantasies while premeditating his future crime. Attention seekers who may be doing it to be noticed by public, or noticed by his "peers". Essentially fame.

You see pics or vids of the shooters and they are called things like cool or heroes and a certain kind of person would take to that and see themselves being talked about in the same way.

Of course we have had these kind of people before the internet but not on the level we have today.

When you have someone posting how it's cool to kill people rape or abuse and everyone joins in including kids/teens with or without mental problems, their minds are going to go wild.

Same for most current mass shootings, many of them had influence one way or another being adult or kid.

The mind is the most dangerous weapon and if not programmed right, things and go bad pretty quickly.

We use knives on a daily basis. I used a knife this morning when opening up a package, and also when making my lunch. But we never need firearms.

I am going to turn fifty years old Tuesday morning. Do you know how many times I've needed a firearm? Not once.

People are fucking stupid. A friend of mine went out and bought a gun, saying "I need to protect myself at home". He went out and bought himself a nice Glock. He has no idea what he did wrong. He wanted a handgun because he thought it was cool. It's stunning how stupid people are about this. When I tell him he bought the wrong weapon for for home defense he doesn't understand - He has no idea what he needs.

We hand out firearms to anyone who wants them for any reason at all. Grandma feels the need to be protected. She takes her handgun to Wal Mart, where her little grandchild pulls it out of her purse and shoots her dead with it. WTF? This woman had a loaded handgun, a weapon designed to kill another human being, and she put it in her purse next to her grand child.

We had a shooting here in California a few weeks ago at a outside of a high school; There was a running gun battle. At a high school. One of the people involved was caught in the high school gym hiding with 500 kids. WTF? How the fuck did this become acceptable?

I was attacked by gangsters wielding a huge knife, I ran for my life and escaped. It was completely random. the words "STAB HIM STAB HIM!" are completely burned in my memory. I don't know if a gun would have helped but any kind of protection would have possibly helped. I was against guns pretty hard until that day. I understand how shitty they are but in this world we live in, i feel like everybody needs some form of protection, whether it be guns pepper spray or knives.
