Aside from it being absolutely stupid from the PR department, but seriously.. its gotten this bad that companies are getting patents for cages.....

Seriously they need to have a serious rework of the patent system as to what "deserves" a patent vs what is obviously to later be used as patent trolling..

Having protective cages is in no way a "new idea" which deserves a patent. Its beyond ridiculous something like this was awarded one..

Well aside from the bad PR of caging workers..lol I see no issues of having caged areas meant to protect workers from injury from machinery. My issue is that the patent office gave them a fucking patent for something that's been done for 50 years in manufacturing and other industry.. Its ridiculous something like this was awarded a patent.

i think after 20 years it's open game. you are not going to have the market forever. like the first iron. you see how man brands there are now? :Oh crap it's been 50 plus years maybe they added something.

Maybe the cage design is unique and it solves a problem that they had to throw millions at...

Amazon is rolling out locally here in Au, and their trying the same system they use in the USA, locals basically won't work there so its starter jobs for new immigrants who are getting scammed on wages.
