How do gay parades help gays?
Im reading the news and lo and behold we are being forced to have gay parades by the west who is directly controlling our puppet government...pooty just banned them for 100 years like an absolute boss...but they are called "pride" in my puppet country and we have weak leaders...they block the city and like 100 gays walk behind heavy police protection...
How does this help gays? It annoys the shit out of people and nobody gives a shit... What is the point of the parade? Do gays hope that by blocking the city and forcing people to watch, that people will gain sympathy towards them? Or is it a "fuck you this is our 5min we are faggots" kind of thing? It is so strange...why not just fuck off and fight for your rights in court or in the media?...why turn people who did not give a shit, against you?...why is this even being forced upon us by the west? I never cared about what sexual orientation a dude is, as long as he misses me with the gay shit, its fine...but now Im kinda leaning towards frowning upon gays...not lesbians...well at least not hot lesbians...the ugly lesbians can fuck off... Why the parades? |

Well, look at it from a different perspective.
Let's say you're gay. And you go into a gay bar full of gay people. And you stand up on a chair and say, "Attention everybody. I'd like to make an announcement. I'm gay!" The response to that would be stares, and crickets. Eventually someone will say, "Yeah? So? Who gives a fuck?" Where's the fun in that? However, if you do it in an environment where there's some potential for someone to be shocked or offended, at least in a roundabout way there's someone giving a fuck. |

I'd say it isn't just about parades. It is about advocating gayness all together, in an insane (and futile) attempt to make it appear normal.
Thing is, as much as we're all different and shit as individuals, we're all animals with rather basic primal urges - breeding and reproduction is hardwired inside us. Gays can't do that (doh) so their dissatisfaction comes from inside and they want all kinds of recognition and even laws that declare degeneracy as normal, so they would feel good within (spoiler alert - they'll never be able to be genuinely happy). |

The reason for the parades is a simple one. They are a way of showing their community (and anyone watching or reading about it) that they are here, they are part of this community, they aren't going away, and they demand equality. Sure, riding a rainbow glitter unicorn while wearing nothing but a pink jock strap and a giant penis hat might not be the best way to go about it, but to each their own.

I've been to prolly a dozen gay pride parades and street fairs. They're a blast and not all are that risque. The San Francisco gay pride parade is much more tame than the fulsom street fair for instance.

It wasn't too long ago that gay people would be arrested or killed in much if the world. By grouping together and getting high profile people to join in their rights can't be ignored. Same for legalization of cannabis and other society changes for the better. Big groups force change.. these days it might just be an excuse to party though.

I think the question here should be why do the gay parades appear in almost every major city in the world. Are they gays a suppressed group of people, are they marching for there rights ? No, in fact in almost every First world country in the world gays are highly tolerable, heck in most countries gays can get married. So if they are not a suppressed group of people then why the parades ? Well you can argue that they want to express them selves, and that's okay to do as anyone/group of people should have the right to in any First world country. But I think that the OP should think to his/her self, who is funding all the gay parades. If you ask your self who is funding them then I think you will have a better understanding in whats going on. Once you know who is funding them you can see what the true agenda is behind the Gay Pride Parades. More than 95% of Gay Pride parades world wide are funded by NGO's. If you have been following the world news headlines recently you would of seen that India has finally passed laws to allow Gays to be gay. Until now gays where suppressed in India. But a big part for the push to change these laws was through a Non Government Organization call "The Open Society Foundation" The The Open Society Foundation stated the following "At the Open Society Foundations, this is something we believe in profoundly. For this reason for the past decade, we have supported local efforts to decriminalize homosexual conduct around the world—and we are investing in opportunities for activists from different parts of the world to learn from one another." I ended up in downtown Montreal one day and didn't know a gay pride parade was happening so I was kind of stuck watching it. I don't usually even like parades but this one was great. Fun, colorful, great music and hot chicks! What was cool though was that there were lots and lots of straight couples, elderly couples, etc, and alot of people brought their kids. The cops that were there seemed to be enjoying the party too. The mayor was there and of course the local news covered it. There were a few celebs I heard but I didn't see them. It's just a parade. When I lived in Boston, I went because friends went and were part of it. I saw sexy men nearly undressed, shaking their groove things at me. It was fun, over-the-top outrageousness and hilarity. Most gay people aren’t flaming or demonstrative and are your neighbors, doctor, dentist and boss. I had lesbians coming over and trying to talk, kiss and more. I just laughed, said “thanks but I only like real dick” and gave them a quick hug. It was a humorous and acceptable way of saying no. I wasn’t insulted but was flattered. I told one drag queen that blue eye shadow was so 70’s and he seriously asked for advice on color.
At first, I was confused since straight people didn’t have parades. Then I realized they’re proud to be gay. They aren’t ashamed to be different and don’t need to hide. They want to show strength in numbers. My bff of twenty years is gay. He avoids the parades because he has no need to advertise his sexuality. Gay bashing shows him it’s better to keep it private. I have mixed feelings about the parades. I support them fully but get angry that they’re inviting hatred and violence. That’s wrong that they can’t be open but until society changes, you need to conform. Anything different from the “norm” is not accepted. They just want acceptance and fair treatment. People hate pornographers because they feel we steal credit cards, cause family divorces, promote child porn and bestiality, fuck anything that moves (or doesn’t), don’t follow religion, drink and do drugs and many other fallacies. Will our industry ever be accepted? One bad apple spoils the whole bunch. One gay guy molests boys, people think all do. But if a straight guy molests girls, everyone doesn’t think all do. One crossdresser likes boys, people think they all do. 85% of crossdressers are straight according to statistics. Everyone thinks they don’t stereotype people. But all of us do, to a point. Thinking your doctor or lawyer is rich, thinking a religious person is moral, thinking a woman with big breasts is loose, etc. It’s just human nature. |
