Google employees discussed altering SE algos to suit an agenda

They should have, they're a private company and they can do whatever they want...:2 cents:

Google employees discussed leveraging their influence over the internet to promote pro-immigration websites after President Trump imposed his controversial travel ban last January, it has been revealed.

In an email chain obtained by The Wall Street Journal, the staff members - who were not named - talked about the 'importance' of promoting the websites, such as the ACLU, so that internet users could donate to them.

Their plan did not go into effect after warnings from executives that it was a 'highly political' issue which they should not be seen getting in the middle of.

The emails were written on January 29, two days after Trump implemented his ban on travel to the US from seven Middle Eastern and African countries.

If they do, they will become the gods of our lives. They can manage and choose what we find on the Internet. It's not at all fair!

I have said it elswere here some days ago... If these shenanigans are not a cause to invoke the Sherman Act and break the coludimg monopoly up, then I do not know why the Congress did not yet repeal it. :2 cents:

Google as a near monopoly needs to tread very carefully and be as impartial as possible.

Google and the deep state are tight.

The problems arise when you are Microsoft refusing to grant the government a backdoor into Windows. Then an anti-trust lawsuit is brought over something stupid like including Internet Explorer preloaded on Windows. Then that case suddenly goes away and a short bit later Bill Gates says that the government has a backdoor into Windows.
