has anyone tried Blaze Pizza?

That pizza chain went from two locations to over 200 locations in 4 years. The national polls show it as America's favorite pizza place and it's the fastest growing food chain in the country.

I think part of its success is having the current age most marketable/ well known athlete in the world, LeBron James as a % owner of Blaze. As well as Patrick Schwarzenegger, the son of Arnold as another % owner makes for great marketing a new product to the new and old consumers clamoring for innovation in the fast casual pizza space (not pizza hut, dominoes, papa johns, etc..).. It was great timing, infusion of cash, and marketing which has made this franchise one of the fastest growing in the US.

I see they have one in Austin.

Is it worth checking out?

We have lots of good food. Try to stay away from chains.

I like the Instagram angle: Clipular - Blaze Pizza - Fast-Fire'd Custom Built Artisanal Pizzas

Nice way to include the fans and promote free marketing.

Thanks for the intro!

I tried Blaze last year in
Bridgwater, NJ. There were a ton of choices but the end result was not impressive. The guy working the rotating oven put the pie on a hot spot and the underside was black and the top crust was barely cooked.

Maybe a one-off but I haven't been back.

It's pretty good for fast-food style pizza. There are two by me. I've been to the first one many times and they produce good, consistent pies. The newer one, not so much. They advertise a 3 minute cook time and the pizzas are very thin, so it takes an experienced oven guy to get it right. I suggest ordering a pizza with minimal toppings, otherwise you run a greater risk of a burnt bottom and barely cooked top.

i stick with pizza hut for the very things mentioned in this thread- consistency with ingredients and being cooked properly.

Better than MOD pizza?

Rochard 09-25-2018 01:18 PM

It's "meh". Every time I eat there it seems to me like everything is under cooked.

I wasn't thrilled. My kids love it.

It's ok....
