Kavanaugh is pissed

Was just watching Live, and he just said "Thanks to you, I may never be able to Judge again".

I think he's done.

Matt 26z 09-27-2018 12:58 PM

I thought he said teacher.

The deep state may be sending out different feeds of this show.

dyna mo 09-27-2018 12:58 PM

The entire debacle is a national disgrace. I'm outraged the republicans would drag Americans through this over kavanaugh when they have pages of names of qualified candidates that are just as conservative.

Matt 26z 09-27-2018 01:00 PM

Character assassination of Mark Judge with the decades long drug addiction claim. Interesting.

Holy shit. I just flipped it on and he is attacking Feinstein. Holy crap.

I'm sure the "angry white man" defense will go over well.

He seems genuinely off the rails.

Not a good move. That's for sure.

Repubs still lose due to risk of his being impeached. Not to mention this broadcasted shitstorm is energizing women voters just 5 weeks before mids.

i am seeing a shitload of women supporting him, they are not denouncing her, but it was likely not him

Matt 26z 09-27-2018 01:25 PM

Completely different conclusions of the first part by FOX and MSNBC.

MSNBC is presenting it like he's done. FOX thinks this helps him.

we'll know very soon which is the sitch eh. I do know history is somewhat on my side. the "year of the woman" last time was 1992, the year after Clarence Thomas. and credited to the debacle of his nomination process.

I was listening to her and personally think that it helped Kavanaugh. She contradicts herself alot. This is, of course, kangaroo court to begin with imho. No one's gonna question her and call her out on the contradictions. If they are democrats, it's not in their interest to do so, and if they are republicans they will get painted in a negative light by the media.

Matt 26z 09-27-2018 01:51 PM

Wow... Graham comes in swinging for Kavanaugh.

dyna mo 09-27-2018 01:52 PM

I didn't find her contradicting herself at all. imo.

But I don't believe or disbelieve either side at this point. as you point out, it's not unlike a kangaroo court.

She doesn't remember where she was, who was there, doesn't even remember how she got home, but she remembers she had EXACTLY one beer? She remembers Judge jumping on the bed exactly twice, 36 years ago?

She said she was pushed from behind, KNOWS it was Kavanaugh somehow, but doesn't know if Judge also pushed her, because she was pushed from behind, and couldn't see. If she couldn't see, she couldn't know if it was Kavanaugh.

The number of people at the house and in the room has also changed several times.

tony286 09-27-2018 02:08 PM

When he started, I said maybe its all bullshit but then with the questions. He is dancing and Mark Judge seems like someone he wants no where near this.

I hear you. It's my understanding that victim memory is odd. I think she was honest about those parts being vague, ambigous, and odd though.

Again though, I don't know which of the them to believe or disbelieve at this point.

I remember vividly this one time I fell off my bike when I was a kid, skidded along some gravel on my hands for a while and fucked up my hands pretty badly. I don't know how much of the story i remember and how much of the blanks my imagination filled in.

This is a no win situation for the Republican party. If they have a vote and he is nominated, the rallying cry for the midterms will be "A President accused of sexual assault put another man accused of sexual assault on the Supreme Court".

The problem the Republicans are having with the midterms is white women from the suburbs. This hearing today looks horrible for the Republican party, and if he gets nominated this will continue to look bad for the Republican party.

I have a feeling Judge might know where some bodies are buried, so to speak.

crockett 09-27-2018 02:38 PM

Oh shit... the fall out is starting.. granted the source is a far left website

"You have publicly bullied a woman who has stepped forward to report allegations of sexual assault," the letter states. "You and your staff had knowledge of the allegation prior to it becoming public, and prepared a defense for the nominee while expeditiously moving through the nomination process with the hope it would never be uncovered. Once the allegation was made public, you rejected past precedent, and refused a request for the FBI to investigate further, instead relying on your staff to investigate."

Textbook definition of confirmation bias my friend :thumbsup I am watching the same thing and am feeling the exact opposite of this. I think it looks terrible for the democrats, especially the comments regarding the timing of leaking this info to the media.

Hate to break it to you but Republicans had knowledge of this before it was ever leaked... It was leaked because Republicans took no action..

Even the republicans know it looks bad for them, that's why they hired the woman interrogator to ask questions for them, so they won't look even worse than this debacle already makes them look. It's unprecedented for our congress btw, hiring an outside interrogator like this. And the questions are clearly designed to erode her credibility, not to ascertain the truth.

MaDalton 09-27-2018 02:57 PM

What is obvious: 2/3 of those senators asking questions are so old and frail that they should be sitting in a rocking chair in a retirement home and not in that hearing.

Brett Kavanaugh is too emotional & erratic to be a judge of any kind. He has no respect for the confirmation process and acts like an entitled brat :2 cents:

And this is part of the problem - two sides look at the same issue (or in this case a hearing) and walk away with two different opinions.

The timing isn't an issue for me at all. It just isn't. We can stop and have an investigation for a week or two without this running into the midterms. There is just no reason not to have an investigation.

I don't like to discuss this on GFY, but I have a teenage daughter. What am I supposed to tell her? If someone pins her up against a bed and fondles her and gropes her and tried to undress them that she should keep her mouth shut? Because no one would believe her?

Do you have proof of this?

I read something that Republicans had searched out her name before it became public knowledge, but nothing more. Got a link for us?

Ford said she notified them. The Republicans in charge of the nominees. When nothing happened and he was the actual nominee she then notified her Congressman and sent a copy of the letter to the press.

She said this today under oath.

beerptrol 09-27-2018 03:54 PM

he was asked more than once if he would ask the white house to open an fbi investigation into these allegations, yes or no, he never answered. He has something to hide

Which is all the proof anyone needs to see that he is unfit for a seat as a judge much less on the SC.

All politics aside I see this as the main suspicious point: if he has nothing to hide and is 100% sure his version is true: why not say yes?

Cause even if he somehow gets confirmed, these allegations will never go away without investigation and you have a lifetime SC judge with the lingering reputation of being a rapist.

So Ford told the Republicans about this and they did.... Nothing.

So the Republicans are to blame in the delay of this being released.

Why am I not surprised.

Exactly

common sense is you investigating clear that guy's name not trying to push him through on an exaggerated timeline for political expedience.

Party before country is the GOP motto

The good news is it is an impeachable appointment.
