Cops monitoring FB users through fake accounts
 

Headsup - 80% of Facebook is fake.

Not a shock. My buddy who is a cop once told me social media has been a massive help for law enforcement.

That's why I don't allow anyone I haven't known for at least 10 years as a "friend" and if you were just an acquaintance years ago you don't get "friended." I actually block twitter followers. As in, if you follow me you get blocked... LOL

I have a sure fire way to spot them on my FB. I say who wants to go to a drug deal with me tomorrow night. Anyone that says they do and I don't know them, I delete those narcs. Simple. :2 cents:

Or a better way for me is I haven't been logged into FB in like 5 mos :thumbsup

yep on the show the first 48 they type in street names to find suspects. they don't even need the criminal database.

Same here. I go on about 3 times a year now. As soon as they started making the experience of going on Facebook more about Facebook and increased ad placement, decreased feed space, I knew it was downhill from there.

What exactly they are looking there for? If you need drugs or even want to hire an assassin (a real one), you will go to silk road. Nobody will do it at FB.

Most people have no idea what Silk Road is and even less an idea of how to get to it and use it.

People who would look for drugs and/or assassins online are not terribly smart to begin with.

As for what the cops are looking for, it's all kinds of stuff. People post videos of themselves and their friends committing all kinds of crimes. My cop friend caught a car thief because the thief posted a video of him and his buddy stealing the car and taking it for a ride. The friend was someone who the police knew because he had a criminal past so they recognized him.

An idiot. What I can say more... Only a monkey will shoot his crime on video... and post it. Get rid of your phone (before, not after), wear an anti-viral mask (so you won't be detected on cameras), cover your arms with gloves. And course get rid of your boots after that too.

You think you can be detected by DNA of your skin or hair? First of all nobody will check for it (even if will, the accuracy is not 100%) and after all of that the criminal can say: "yes, I was in this car because I'm a hitchhiker". So no evidence, no case...
