how to get rid of malware traffic?
hello guys
i have an issue with ram usage on my server, today memory usage reached to maximum and one of websites went down hosting provider said that i have a large amount of malware traffic how to get rid of them? |
Not sure what malware traffic is. But you may be victim of ddos. You can do a few things. Of it is traffic related, You can sign up for ddos protection with someone like cloudflare or you can figure out what ip addresses are eating up your ram and and blacklist then, you can also setup something like fail2ban and blacklist if they meet specific conditions like accessing directories or files that are not supposed to be accessible to regular visitors.
This is assuming the issue is related to traffic and not something else. If you have terminal access to your server and it's Linux based you can monitor resources with glances and iotop then you can monitor traffic with iftop or bmon. Good luck |
Did you try to set up Cloudflare on it? You could try to do that first.

or a $2 Hosting ?

I also recommend Cloudflare. Blocks most DDOS attacks.
