Chief Justice John Roberts orders new investigation into Brett Kavanaugh

Roberts sat on these complaints about Kavanaugh's verified lies under oath for about a month. Now he's asking they be investigated. Why?

Chief Justice John Roberts orders new investigation into Brett Kavanaugh

Fox News personality Bret Baier on Wednesday reported that U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has referred allegations of judicial misconduct claims against Justice Brett Kavanaugh to outside judges for investigation.

Judge Karen LeCraft Henderson, a George H.W. Bush nominee, forwarded more than a dozen misconduct complaints to the chief justice after determining they were substantive enough that they needed to be investigated by judges outside the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, where Kavanaugh was serving as a judge.

“The situation is highly unusual, legal experts and several people familiar with the matter said,” The Washington Post explained on Saturday. “Never before has a Supreme Court nominee been poised to join the court while a fellow judge recommends that a series of misconduct claims against that nominee warrant review.”

Chief Justice Roberts had been sitting on the complaints for weeks, refusing action before Kavanaugh was confirmed and sworn in to the Supreme Court on Saturday.

“Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts is asking federal judges outside the beltway to investigate complaints over statements made by now-Justice Brett Kananaugh during his contentious nomination,” Baier reported Wednesday.

“Roberts says he received the ethics complaints beginning September 20th, but did not act on referrals until today,” Baier added.

Oh this is why Roberts held the complaints for a month.

Should have known it was for a corrupt reason.

He's taking the complaints from Judge Merrick Garland (Obama appointee) and giving them another judge to decide, one on the Federalist society list for future SCOTUS position. The same ultra conservative short list Roberts, Gorsich and Kavanaugh were chosen from.

Chief justice refers Kavanaugh ethics complaints to judges outside Washington

Chief Justice John Roberts on Wednesday referred ethics complaints about the Supreme Court’s newest associate justice, Brett Kavanaugh, to the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Colorado.

The complaints, related to comments Kavanaugh made during his contentious confirmation hearings last month, were originally filed with the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, where Kavanaugh served as a federal judge before his confirmation on Saturday. Roberts made the request in a letter to Chief Judge Timothy Tymkovich of the 10th Circuit, which also covers Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming.

An appointee of President George W. Bush, Tymkovich is also on the list of President Donald Trump’s possible Supreme Court picks that included Neil Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, who are both now confirmed justices.

Law students all over the country are actually doing a 3 day walk out due to his confirmation. Republicans think this shit will just go away because they cheated their way into getting him on the SC..

Its only just began.

He sat on them because they've already been debunked by numerous media outlets/legal experts.

Seems Republicans thought this was a done deal and now he is sitting on the bench.

Republicans can bitch all they want. They had investigation after investigation into Hillary Clinton for no reason - they KNEW there was no wrong doing. They knew even if she had done something wrong she still didn't commit a crime. They used their position in Congress to launch attack after attack. Well, it's a two way street. They are going to go after Kavanaugh until he is removed from the bench. Soon it will be the Democrat's chance to start launching investigations - directly into Trump. All they need to do is say "Gee, we should look at Trump's taxes" and start pulling on cords. Then there will be leaks of his taxes - which is a federal crime.

We can play this game all day long. The Republican started this when they attacked Hillary Clinton.

It's a done deal.

I believe the original Democrat plan was to get Kav under an investigation that would last a long time and then a Democrat-controlled senate would stall voting until after 2020 when Hillary could nominate Garland instead.

Now they will try everything to get him removed, but it's not going to work.
