Supply & demand vs perceived value throw in a tarriff war and you fuck with supply & demand, which fucks with the perceived value of a companies stock. Part of the reason Ford's stock went down 29% after Trumps steel tarriffs. On top of that they eat $1 Billion in tarriff fees, have to layoff 24,000 people to compensate, their stock goes down again because nobody knows how long the tarriffs will continue to eat away at profits and at what point will Ford pass losses on to the consumer in the form of product price increases.

It will take some time for American steel output to get going again. There will be some short term pain as a sacrifice for long term gains.

And I'm not convinced those 24k jobs are from the tariffs. Ford hasn't done a good job of predicting what the market wants. They shifted to fuel economic cars during the recession and now that we are coming out of it about the only thing dealers are selling is gas guzzlers again. So now Ford can't manufacture trucks and SUVs fast enough to meet buyer's demand.

The financial system thrives on people consuming goods and countries need a never ending growth of the economy. The problem in our decadent modern society and the 0% interest rate situation for past years is that people over consume and getting in massive debt.

This is a risky situation cause if too many are in too high debt there wont be a soft landing when recession hits. It could turn out to be an ice shower when people eventually see the interest rates go up and sitting on big loans.

The more citizens affected the harder the landing and add layoffs to the mix and real estate losing value and a depression is underway.

They released a poll soon after Kanye endorsing Trump (I believe it was a rasmussen or or one of the larger polling companies) that had blacks approving Trump @36% up from 26% a few weeks prior to him endorsing Trump.

It didn't help Bredesen that he endorsed and supported Kavanaugh. Many of his volunteers left his campaign after he did that. This also happened a few days after Swift endorsed him. I'm not saying Taylor didn't fire up the right, she may have but she didn't cause much of staff to just abandoned him.
