there is only one possible use for them...this is replacing human jobs...well 2 possible uses but the other is from a movie where they hunt humans...

The robot in the video is Atlas, an American war robot created by Boston Dynamics, with funding and oversight from the United States Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

The robot is being created to run after the enemy, jump and attack to shoot. A robot like Atlas can do the work of 20 soldiers with no training costs, etc. Much cheaper in the long run. Robots to take human jobs don't need to be agile runners, jumpers & climbers, war robots do :2 cents:

what I do know is that technology is advancing everywhere...china already makes better and cheaper processors than the USA...I also know that there is no point in catching up with the USA murder tech and giving invaders a fair fight in a conventional way...it is only a matter of time before the weak develop "off" or somebody sells "off" to them...

Yes, people will be put out of work. But the new jobs will be in robots, AI and automation. Until robots create new robots to do those jobs too. If that's the case, then we could all receive a basic universal income and pursue exactly what we want. Of course, some people would hate that because while they may think they love what they do, it's possible they could find out the main incentive for their work is money. But there would also be a group of people who definitely chose soul-sucking profession for the money, and they love the idea of deep sea fishing whenever they want without having to worry about paying the bills. Although, they could have found a way to make money with deep sea fishing instead of being an insurance adjuster and only fishing once a month. But I digress.

The two factions will emerge and go to war while the robots run things. Whoever wins the war will be made into slaves by the robots who are smart enough by this time to realize a human is a useless bag of meat wrapped around a shitpipe.

Elon Musk warns about AI all the time, and that says something. These robots will be used in wars killing humans. Some great times are lying ahead for sure... :disgust
