I think its because much of the left is finally acknowledging all of the good things Trump has done since he took office.

Based on who we see running, I say its his to lose. Biden tried running twice and lost. And Bernie is too old.

TheSquealer 10-18-2018 09:05 AM

Obviously he's going to win a second term.

Democrats dial up the crazy to 110 in an effort to call attention to the fact that the other guy is at a 50... what the fuck can you expect. I've been saying this shit since day 1. Dems are so completely unhinged at this point that they have no electable candidates and have no platform or ideas whatsoever..., they've literally become the party of hate, anger and temper tantrums.

Can't believe people are still believing polls.

I do think Trump will easily win.
But as was proven in 2016...polling 1500 people and claiming it represents 330 million people's thoughts is just total bullshit.

In previous times...the polls were almost telling people what they should think.
You saw that Hillary was supposed to win...so you either would vote for the winner...or get discouraged and stay home.

That shit doesn't fly anymore.
People have access to far more information resources and are no longer slaves to the mainstream media outlets and their tiny sampling of the population in polling.

The only thing they seem to be pushing is: illegal immigrants should all be allowed to come on in and stay...and socialism.

I think that just isn't going to appeal to the average normal American.

They need to get back to being the champions of the WORKING man and woman.
Right now Trump is THE champion...and the Dems look like they are completely insane.

Democratic Socialism is vastly different from Socialism.

And you'd have a hard time arguing that the average normal American is against Social Security and Medicare.

kane 10-18-2018 11:35 AM

Way too many factors to decide this right now. Of course, he can win. Incumbents are hard to beat, but a lot could happen between now and then. Trump is taking a gamble. He is leading directly to his base and basically telling everyone who didn't vote for him to fuck themselves. He will need all of those people to turn out for him again in 2020. If they don't he is in trouble.

We can debate the accuracy of polls or what they mean all day. The truth is in the elections. We will know a lot in a few weeks. If Trump manages to hold onto the House and Senate, it will prove his reach is bigger than his opponents realize. If there is a blue wave, it will show that Democrats are motivated and unless things go really well for him over the next two years he could be in serious trouble in 2020.

Who said anything about "Democratic Socialism"?
I didn't.

I said SOCIALISM. Which seems to be what they are for these days.

You can call it "Democratic Socialism" all day long.

Still doesn't mean they are the Democrats who once stood up for working men and women and tried to do things that would get good jobs in this country for people to advance in life.

Trump is the guy who stands proudly for that now.

Dems won't even say it. They spent 8 years telling all the workers of America that their jobs were never coming back.

I'm not sure.

I am yet to see a dem candidate that the middle ground can get behind.

If the dems find a solid believable clean candidate then Trump is fucked.

Dems need a fresh face asap.

Hey, remember that time when Obama told the nation that manufacturing jobs were gone and not coming back and then proceeded to mock Trump for claiming he could bring them back?l

"We were told it was the new normal."

At a town hall in June 2016, President Obama famously said that some manufacturing jobs “are just not going to come back.” He went on to mock then-candidate Trump by saying he’d need a “magic wand” to make good on this manufacturing job promises."

https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckde.../#66ddc5fb5850

"Comparing the last 21 months of the Obama administration with the first 21 months of Trump’s, shows that under Trump’s watch, more than 10 times the number of manufacturing jobs were added."

Great read that. Facts do not lie. I knew Trump would be successful in bringing back those jobs. He is a business man but more importantly, he has the balls to make the decisions that are needed. He is doing that well it will get to the point electing a Democrat will be unthinkable for most Americans

You said the democrats are for.....Socialism. that's entirely wrong and shows you either do not know and understand the difference or you are using Socialism in a derogatory way. either way is wrong. I said something about Democratic Socialism because that's what some democrats are for.

That sounds like what Democrat pundits say every day on CNN.

Ask the people who are now working in those jobs that Obama said weren't coming back and Trump said he would bring back.

Right now for instance, there are 1 million more jobs that need filling than there are people unemployed!

No. Trump said in the very beginning, he didn't need this. He wanted to make the country great again and help the "forgotten man".
And the forgotten man is the working man and woman.

He's proving it by his policies and the results he is getting every day.

That's a asinine argument, Obama's first months in office were spent bailing out our economy due to Bush admins careless spending..

Trump was handed a booming economy on a silver platter just like he was handed his wealth from his daddy.

Trying to compare 1st months job growth is apples and oranges..

Obama was handed a economy that was crashing with the biggest housing market collapse in the history of the world. In 8 years he turned it into a booming economy.

Trump came in and was handed a booming economy and started fucking with it.

that's probably because those pundits know the difference between socialism and Democratic Socialism.

I'm not talking about trump or jobs. Neither of which have anything to do with you conflating Socialism with Democratic Socialism. You know how you feel when people are wrong about Libertarianism and they cast it in a disparaging light? that's what you're doing here with Democratic Socialism.

"Democratic Socialism". What's next? "Democratic Communism"? lol

Who gives a fuck? I am a capitalist. Period.
I'm not a fan of the govt. taking your money and redistributing it...which is EXACTLY what the politicians calling themselves "Democratic Socialists" are in favor of.

Why are you so hung up on it anyway? Thinking of being a "Democratic Socialist" yourself? Or maybe a "Republican Socialist" or any other thing with the word "Socialist" in it.
In politics Democrats used to run from words like Socialist and Communist. Now they seem to embrace the term Socialist ever since Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won in the primary in New York.

Me? I don't care. Has nothing to do with this topic.

All I'm saying is that Democrats do NOT stand for the working blue collar men and women of this country as they once did.
You can agree or disagree with that...but the voters made that pretty clear in 2016 when Democrats in the rust belt turned out for Trump.

Republicans are corporate socialists. They want corporations to have the rights of humans yet not have to pay taxes and be bailed out when they're failing.

Democrats are not socialists in any way.

I've never criticized/attacked you for being a trump supporter and there is plenty of ammo there if i chose to. I'd like the same level of respect for my political views and what I support. obviously we very much disagree. but I keep my cricitism to trump, not you for supporting him.

Isn't this the exactly what a government does? Tax dollars come in, and governments spend it on things the citizens need.

Robbie and I have been bickering politics back & forth for a long while. While we've both said some mean things to each other, we've mostly moved on each time. I don't think it was out of line for me to clarify that Democratic Socialism is not Socialism. regardless of trump.
