Paxum breathing down anyone else's necks?

I've had my Paxum account for like 8 years now, always given them the documents they need. Last week they locked me from withdrawing funds after I sent them a message displaying I was unhappy about the fact that I've now waited around 6 months to get my card, and that they continue to give me the same 'we expect it to be soon' nonsense.

Have a look at this, am I going crazy here?

I've had my account for 8 years and now they want a picture of me with my passport, 8 hours after I question why I've waited 6 months for a card?

After sending the passport and photograph in, they come back to me with this, yet again.

Why the fuck am I being grilled about who's paying me and for what? I don't understand why this is any of Paxum's business when they're the ones who provide the interface for people to send funds to me. You NEED an email address when you sign up to Paxum and it's literally the way you send/receive money from me: why the fuck are they asking me for people's email addresses when they have access to that information from the backend?

Same goes for name of the sender: you need this for KYC, and people shouldn't be able to send me funds unless you've verified their identity. That's the entire PURPOSE of a service like Paxum: it's to stop people being scammed and getting funds from illegitimate sources. That's what I'm trusting Paxum to do for me.

I'm so fucking confused, especially since they're holding my money hostage and the answers to their questions and ones that they should have themselves.

Sorry Paxum - I don't go around asking clients what their real names are because it's none of my fucking business. :321GFY

I think technically from a tax-law point of view, you should be collecting such info from clients due to pay VAT etc.

I think this sounds like an KYC & AML concern (Know Your Customer & Anti Money Laundering) :2 cents:

I'm a little worried about Paxum.. their new cards had a $500 a day withdrawal limit. As of a few days ago, I was unable to withdraw $500 from my usual ATM. Got an error saying problem with issuer. So I try a different ATM, and can only withdraw about $250 US with many errors in between attempts.

Anyone else noticed some changes?

The limit should be $1000/day and $500 per transaction. No isues here.

I tried to withdraw 300 USD from ATM today (always using the same) and received error - "Sorry, no connection with your bank" :( And now I'm worry - was my card hacked as a lot of cards from RU and UA as it was posted here on russian AWM Board ( master-x.com/forum/topics/141245/page/7675/ ).

I tried to login in trucash and paxum.trucash - "error" and I even cant get new password :( Its awful service.

yeah, this...

how do I know whether my client is a VAT payer or not when I don't know his name/company/country of registration?

oh, wait, I think I know one reason for not caring about these questions :upsidedow

It sound like this If you ask to much They will revenge you. Its better to move money to somewhere else...
I am waiting cards from May and i do not write any ticket to them since they are waiting that.

iceboi 10-23-2018 12:05 PM

Sounds like a tactic to get you to stop asking questions. Very sleazy on their part

AllAboutCams 11-06-2018 01:37 AM

Same thing just happened to me limited my account after asking where my card is asking for a photo of me holding the id and who is sending cash.

wankawonk 11-06-2018 01:47 AM

KYC and AML are some serious fucking shit, paxum closed the accounts of every non-business american customer not too long ago

That said, I've never used the paxum card but they continue to pay me out via wire reliably every time I ask for it

I don't think there's much paxum can do about it, tbh. our governments are frightening draconian entities. I wouldn't want to be in paxum's shoes and personally I'm just happy as fuck that they keep processing my payments reliably. I'm scared but I'm rooting for paxum
