Dual 16:9 vs Single 21:9 Monitor

So I'm upgrading my setup and will be swapping my dual iMacs for a single new iMac soon, and I can't decide on the monitor setup.

On one hand, Ultra-wide monitors with 21:9 aspect ratio is nice, but even the biggest ones at 38" don't have the same amount of total pixels as any decent dual 27" or 31" setup.

What bugs me the most about the ultra-wide's is that they are a little too short. Most have 1020 vertical pixels (no good for me) and some have 1440 which is what I have now.

What I would love to see is instead of 21:9 ultra-wide, is instead something like 19:9 or 18:9.

Has anyone seen or own any amazing monitor setups?

I have an LG UltraFine 5K Display attached to my mac book pro and the quality is superb.

You can perhaps do two of them if you need the space...

Size doesn't matter.

I have three twenty-one inch monitors. What I tend to do is dedicate one monitor to a task. On the left is email, on the right is chat (Skype), and on the middle screen is whatever I am working on right now. My job is a lot of communication so both email and Skype are a constant. I understand that with a bigger, wider monitor I could fit all three things on one wide screen but I sort of like just taking a window and slopping it over to the other monitor and not having to invest time in sizing windows, etc.

Thats - thats a pretty amazing monitor to be sure. Idealy what I would love to have is 2 monitors like this, daisy chained together to form a big desktop. I'm kinda hoping that the new Mac Mini's coming out this fall will support that but if not I'll probably splurge for a new macbook instead.

what bugs me the most is a priority system with little choices... I use 2, 32's at 2650x1600

I have two 21.5" lcds and it's perfect cause it's not too big that I have to turn my head to look at the 2nd one.
