Some of the videos are positively scary.... It's amazing how clam some of these people are. The truth is unless something is blocking the road like a tree or telephone pole, the roads should be "somewhat" safe.
We had a fire here last summer about four miles from my house, it ended up being a thousand acres. Thankfully the the terrain was very flat - just huge grass fields. But the moment we got the news we stopped everything and prepared to leave. I loaded everything up in the car except for the big PC and we were ready to go...

Good videos. Not all the people driving through that shit get out alive, though. I saw a vid on another forum where a guy was walking around filming burned-out cars with skeletons inside them. :( I can't believe how bad this fire is and I hope they get it under control soon.

In the Paradise fire there was one street where it was a dead end, and when people tried to flee it was too late and they got caught in the fire in their cars. Eight people died.
