Facebook hires right wing group who blames Soros for it's woes !
Gee wiz... Go figure...
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/14/t...on-racism.html Never have and probably never will like facebook. Can't trust them at all. For anything. Been dead against them for 10 years. Like any politician or corporate entity, hard to gain my trust but these guys are just bad actors who to not play fair with the power they hold. Much of which I have known for a long time but I'm glad to see some details come out in a big way. More to know if they do some digging. But this one is news to me. Hate to say they need regulation cause under the current conditions, we probably would have a political slant to any of it. So public scrutiny is probably best for now. |
Facebook is truly evil
I've known how evil they are for years. Hate Facebook Of course a multi billion dollar multinational corporation is going to favor Republicans. |

Well, let's see it was started by a guy who basically stole the idea from other guys who paid him to work on it and fucked the guy who started it with him.

I thought this was interesting in your link... Android: Tim Cook has consistently criticized our business model and Mark has been equally clear he disagrees. So there’s been no need to employ anyone else to do this for us. And we’ve long encouraged our employees and executives to use Android because it is the most popular operating system in the world. ... But that is only because Android has such extreme tracking capabilities within Android and not IOS. Google built it to work that way. Facebook makes advantage as much as google. Apple has at least shut much, not all of it down on IOS. A crack in facebooks iceberg that is melting away, but not fast enough. |
Looks like this story had big roots for motivation!
Got congress upset anyway. https://www.theverge.com/2018/11/5/1...idge-analytica I don't want this issue to cause undue regulation, since once it starts, it is hard to say where it will end. Anything they do in regulation should be transparently obvious and targeted. Breaking them up is not a bad idea. But don't stop at facebook on that. Google as well. Who needs regulation.... Those 'unknown' data-farms ! |
