My Youngest Daughter is obsessed with numbers and words - Is there something wrong with her?

My youngest is 4 years old and she is obsessed with writing numbers and letters everywhere.
Give her a pad of paper and she will fill every page with numbers 1-100.
She has covered our entire path. Front and back with numbers and she keeps writing numbers on the walls in her room.

Getting pretty annoyed now. Is this normal behavior?

Sounds like OCD

Get her to a therapist and ask if she can REDIRECT this obsession to something more productive

whoa, so without parental encouragement this girl is attempting to learn the language of the natural world through math (the language of science) AND the language of words needed to understand people?

if you're not careful she may keep up with her inquisitive pursuits and who knows where that will end up :disgust

most importantly is this behavior messing up her hair or causing weight gain? are the neighbors disapproving? :upsidedow

maybe encourage her to spend more time staring at a phone/computer/tv screen. that should help stifle her spirit

assuming this is not a troll thread (who knows anymore), you have a bright, curious and studious daughter who gets lost in her own head where it's probably more interesting than her daily life routine she can't exactly control/manage herself at her age

congratulations and chill the fuck out
