Casting Call / Niche Amateur Shoots Question

If one in Canada were to shoot casting / amateur niche shoots, how would they go about it?

I'm kinda curious for one of my niches and doing a general casting call shoot. It would always be a paid gig, how would you advertise? And do you have a typical contract you would offer with release rights? Where do you find / get that or do you make it yourself?

Very curious about the whole process.

Phones are VERY good quality recording these days.

Thank you. :pimp

Good question.

I'm not sure who the agencies are up in that area, but you might try https://www.sexyjobs.com/talent/canada and contact the talent directly.

As for paperwork, I always suggest getting with a lawyer to cover your needs. Even if you take the one's that you've gotten when you purchase content, and craft it to your site, you should still spend a few dollars and have one look it over to make sure there are no gaps for your specific needs :2 cents:

It's really amazing what you can get for a setup these days. If I was to shoot I'd think a very modest invesment of $1000 could get you going for amateur niche shoots like what your looking to do.

2x Cheap 4k Camera @ $500

2x Cheap Lighting setup @ $200

Spend $100 on a better microphone and put it on your stationary camera.

Then $200 in batteries and memory sticks, and away you go :1orglaugh

Consult a lawyer for the legal side.

There's some excellent advice here on video cameras on a budget. https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...+budget+camera

Now to the actual content. One of the main things I've noticed about Casting videos is so few seem real. The girls do everything like porn stars so unless they are cast as a porn star, so no need to "test" them, you lose any amateur feel. "Amateurs" fall into one category. Girls doing it for the money. then sub categories. Girls who are completely up for it, girls who are hesitant then agree, new girls who will not fuck on a casting and probably won't turn up or perform properly on the job. So set out what each model has to do before you shoot her.

Then have other girls at the casting. Make it look like the casting is real with more than one girl arriving. The extra girl has only to watch, masturbate or join in would be a bonus.

Expand on that advice to suit your niche.

Another choice is to have it shot by you with another guy performing, POV or voyeur with "hidden" cameras in the room. Editing 2 cameras with decent software is a doddle these days. Use a clapper board or whistle to synchronise both time codes on the cameras.

Use a single light with a soft box or equivalent for lighting to achieve good lighting an an amateur feel.

Then set the scene with a real casting feel. Explain to the girl what you shoot, how much she can earn, how much work she will get, etc. Then ask her what she will do. This is a great opportunity to tell girls they aren't going to get much work without doing HC. She can immediately go for it or now, make the audience unsure of what a girl will do. This gives you the opportunity to break in a "virgin" arse. While someone's fucking her.

I hope that's enough to ponder on. It was a niche I was planning to do in the UK and shot a few scenes like it.

None whatsoever, I was just on a cam model site that had mentioned it the other day, and when this came up, I was amazed at how cheap you could get into a setup, to shoot amateur looking porn. I wouldn't think that you would want to rely on it for anything else. But for $500 you get two camera's, if one goes on the shit, you can at least still finish the shoot :1orglaugh

And really you don't need to do 4K, you could get a couple older DSLR's that do 1080 and might end up with a better product in the end for about the same amount of money.

It's a $250 camera, you get what you pay for with electronics most times :2 cents:

I just thought you can get 2 of them for the price of 1 iphone 8, so to shoot stuff that looks like my next door neighbor shot it and uploaded it to the net, this fit the bill perfectly :1orglaugh

Hey, a good thread with useful responses!

If there are forums or blogs in your niche, posting casting calls where people genuinely into it are reading is great for amateurs.

Once you have a site or clip store or whatever, a link to a page with how to model for you is helpful.

That's a great point for promoting the site, also it will give you great writing for your social media accounts. You can invent a few stories as well of where it all went pear shaped.

Another source of models is girls fucking their BFs.
