4) Vietnam
5) Indonesia (Bali)

Canary Islands are also cheap, stayed there 3 months but the other countries are nicer.

Ukraine (western parts like Lviv are safe), Indonesia

India is nice and cheap place for lived

avoid switzerland, norway, nyc, l.a., scandinavia, paris, few others...

Everywhere is cheap as fuck if you sleep in the street and eat out of the bins... I mean, how do you think I've managed to travel as much as I have?

sleeping on the streets is way too expensive, you have to have sleeping bag to not get cold, be careful with ppl, cops, etc.
much better is - sleep in people's houses and use their fridge and toilet :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

I've spent about 3 months in Romania and would totally recommend it. It is fantastically cheap, and mostly very safe. I lived in Brasov, in Transylvania, which is fantastic. Oh yeah - and the net speed is crazy - fiber optic is standard. I got 15 gigs of mobile data for 5 euros worth of lei.

Bosnia is a very cheap country. I lived well on about $600 a month in Sarajevo. Most recently I lived in Mexico, and the price was comparable there. Bulgaria is nice in some places and similarly priced.

Romania is not that cheap comparing with other places! But it's a very safe place, maybe the most safe place to live in Europe as a foreigner! I am romanian and I lived only here in the last 10 years, in a small city in the North of Transylvania ! And of course the internet is super fast and extremely cheap!

you can find an airbnb in sosua, dominican republic for like 220$/month and food is dirt cheap...50 cents for an empanada...lots of cheap hookers and "prepaids"...nice black asses...really nice...

I used to do some work with a Romanian guy. Cool guy but he used to say that pick pocketing was something to always be aware of. The internet - yes he always said the quality of the broadband was excellent and this was an area where huge investment had taken place.

I was just going to say Dominican republic. My friends moved there and are incredibly happy with the choice. Cheap, warm and pleasant, the downside is the island-quality shitty Internet, heat and flight options suck.
