What ever happened to the "Fly me to the moon" promo?
 

A few years ago a company here advertised the chance to win a trip to the moon. Whatever happened with that?

"Winners were chosen by live raffle at this year’s GFY Awards in Las Vegas. Max P. will be going intergalactic, on a flight to space worth $250,000; Vitaliy S. will be driving off in a deluxe BMW mini cooper, while the lucky recipient of a glamorous Caribbean vacation is Michael L."

That is freaking awesome. Out of all the prizes I would have loved to win that the most.

The winner was announced but it was very vague.

and I thought the winners were:

- Richard Roe
- Jane Doe
- Joe Public

Reminds me when I was a teenager booking couples for timeshare tours. I learned that the owner/developer was actually driving the featured "grand prize" which was a convertible BMW. The only prize actually given away was 5 days / 4 nights Las Vegas voucher for two people with airfare and hotel.

It looks like Virgin Galactic will finally be flying soon. Can't wait.

Yeah quite a few give-aways are actually fake.
