How to embed chaturbate?
Hello,
Do you guys know how to embed a chaturbate cam so that it is responsive too? In a WordPress widget size 300x250... They seem to only have that size: height="523" width="930" If I change these numbers, then it gets all cut. Thanks |
Juicy Ads sells 250x300 ad spots that show the most popular cam on CB
|
Can you please explain this a bit more?
|
Add &embed_video_only=true to the iframe url, You will lose the chat room but it will act as responsive.

200X320 |

Bump so OP sees it

I saw it thanks, just wanted to try it before saying thanks :)
|
So you wouldn't thank someone for their efforts in trying to help you even if they got it wrong?
. |
Haha, sure thanks mate ;)

Was playing with different sizes that would go into a 300 high by 250 wide and the cb iframes are not great for that. Had to go to 157 high x 250 wide to get the whole cam in the frame. . |
Had no time yet... It's a bank holiday here :)
By the way, how did you add the girls to your page? You coded that? |

Yes, it is a custom script that pulls the data from the Chaturbate XML API Feed. . |
I had it already with this
&embed_video_only=1 Should I change the 1 by true? I don't think so... By the way, when I click on these, my affiliate link is lost. Have you tried it? |
It should be true from what i know. I put the code i am using up in the post.
When clicked it changes the url to the embed version. All cb affiliate links do that again from what i know. I do not know what url you are using. The ones I use come from the API so they are slightly different then if you are using the embed url from the promo tools. Should work the same I would think. Here is a gif that shows the different sizes (as you said you could not get it to do), then the url that is in the source code and then the url you go to when you click in to the iframe. http://www.madspiders.com/images/cb_video_sizes.gif . |
Ok, I just tried the same thing using the urls from the stats page promo tools for embed a cam and they work exactly the same as what I posted.
So, now I am confused by what is in the original post because when I use the url and change the size the iframe size changes just as expected. I had to adjust the size a touch to avoid clipping but it definitely went down in size just as my example did. . |
Here is a gif, this is using the url from the promo tools with a change of the size. It works fine for me so like I say I am now confused by what you are describing in your initial post.

Half of the cam is cut for me with the new sizes, and the affiliate link is lost.

Not sure what you are doing wrong with the embed. I have shown that it works properly, or at least mine do. Can you put the exact code you are using up? You do not "lose" the affiliate link. The cookie is already set before they click in on the url, Chaturbate then links to the room. You get credit from the cookie. I am not a chaturbate rep, so all of this is from what I know or have observed. If you want definitive answers or help you should probably contact Steve. . |
Last Gif I am making of this stuff.
This shows the cookies progression. You will see that I have all chaturbate cookies cleared, then I will go to the iframe test page I created. I will check cookies afterwards and you will see that there are 11 chaturbate cookies set. Then I will go back to the test page and click into the iframe. You will see that the link will end up at the chaturbate room. I will then check cookies and now there will be 19 cookies set. In the 11 cookies you will see the affkey and the fromaffiliate cookies exist. As far as I can tell, cookies are set and I get credit so it doesn't matter that the link goes to the chaturbate room. http://madspiders.com/images/cb_video.gif Here is the exact code I have in the test page: Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> . |

This is a screenprint with the same sized iframe inside a div. It worked just fine.
http://www.madspiders.com/images/cb_video.jpg So, without seeing the page or the code you are working on I cannot tell you what is going wrong. . |
It is inside the widget. I just checked and now I see all the webcam, maybe it just happens with some models that have weird cams...
Cool about the cookies, I did not know that as I have other programs that use the big URL with my affiliate link. I just use the code given in CB tools for embed cam. So all good and clear, thanks. |

Cool, glad you got it sorted out. :thumbsup . |
Fine you got it working! It could have been aspect ratio for some cameras?
Made an example before it was answered by sarettha (as always) :) You don't even have to put the size of the iframe, that makes it responsive. See here: https://bongocams.webcam/test.html If you resize that example to the "wrong" aspect ratio you can see that the bottom is cut of. |

By the way, why the iframe does not play on mobile?
What do you guys do in these cases? Just use a regular banner? |

Not sure what would work best in your case with you trying to use the widget thingie. Maybe when you detect mobile put an image in the widget instead of a video feed and send them directly to the room on click. . |
My themes detect mobile or not mobile, this is not a problem.
But if I put an image, then the cookie is not dropped and there is no live video like on desktop... I asked their support team like 3 days ago and still no reply from them. |
