They will be using Google's chrome base html rendering engine and dumping their own edge engine.

Fuck Microsoft that edge browser was shit and so is windows now

Most developers I know do their software development on Mac OS and test on Chrome/Firefox/Safari.

Edge required too much tweaking and considering the Chrome user base wasn't worth the effort.

Edge sucks so bad I can't have more than 5-10 tabs open and it's like my computer is a 166 Mhz from 1997. With Chrome I can have 100+ tabs open.

They need to dump windows 10 for desktops next. It seems great for tablets when I try them at the store. But it is clearly not designed for desktops. And parts of it are so slow. The calculator is so slow to open that I had to buy a old school calc to sit on my desk. And don't you dare walk out of the room without saving stuff because it could reboot on its own and install updates with no warning at all.

And that Cortana thing that you can't turn off. You know MS is keylogging. Everything you type is going into storage somewhere.

I have no issues with Windows 10 on my laptop. I used tne classic desktop option though. I also had it on my surface pro 3 before I sold that and it worked good there too.

Only thing what is good with edge how it spawned countless memes.

Actually they ask you for permission for keylogging first.

surely you jest.. chrome is currently eating 3% of my cpu cause i haven't restarted it in a few days..
