Anyone set up a PS1 emulator on a RaspberryPoo ? ?

I've got a pi arriving tomorrow and I am just putting the feelers out should I get stuck. I know that there are a lot of tutorials on youtube etc, but they all assume you are using a windows PC during the initial interaction with the Pi - Burning disk images etc. I know there similar versions for mac, but no specific tutorials...

So if you have already done it, post here please, then I can ask any questions tomorrow night - Thanks.

I simply intend to take a fresh pi, instal retropie and just add PS1 games - To begin with :) Nothing too complicated :)

Cool 1st question.

When the roms are copied to the correct folder (which is roms/psx/ ) what format do they need to be?

What I mean is if I already have a folder called 'game name' and inside that folder I have the needed files for 'game name' do I put the folder in the roms folder and keep it nice and neat? Or, do I put the files for all the games just 'all in together' in the roms folder, without additional folders to sort them within the roms folders?

First, congrats on getting your Raspberry Poo. Did you get the 3 Poo, or the 3Poo Plus?

Next, I haven't setup emulators for the pooS1, but I have for Mame. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do it on Google and PooTube so all you have to do is fine one that is easiest for you to use and follow it.

I liked the MAME setup so much that I decided to splurge and build it into a stand-up arcade cabinet complete with coin door.

Have fun!

the 3Poo+ of course. I like my poos to be the best poosible poos that they can be :)

Yeah, and thanks to all who replied. Since making my original poost, I have been reading like mad, and I cunt really seem to see any major problems ahead. Obviously, I need to get my hands on my poo and play with it for a while, but I dont think Im gonna get stuck.

@shake - I also found etcher earlier. I was pleased to see that despite it being used in a PC demo, that it's also available for mac.

Well all looks good anyway. Now I just gotta wait for the poostman. :thumbsup

PS: Nice machine mark. Makes my little robotron bartop I've had for a while look very unhappy lol

Well I'm pleased to report that I don't have any issues at all. Fucking brilliant little thing, and retropie is so straight forward.

Pleased as a pig in shit :)
