Trump's attorney sentenced to 3 years prison for Trump campaign violations

At the hearing today FBI attorneys said Cohen "was very helpful in giving a wide range of info about Trump's interaction with Russia during and after the campaign." BOOM!

Michael Cohen Sentenced to 3 Years, Says He Covered Up Trump’s ‘Dirty Deeds’

But Hillary, but Obama!!!

Rochard 12-12-2018 10:11 AM

This is such bullshit. Senator Hatch said said yesterday that he didn't care if President Trump committed a felony. If our elected officials no longer care about felonies other elected officials have committed, why should we unfairly hold the attorney of an elected official accountable for felonies?

LOL.

Don't drop the soap!

J. Falcon 12-12-2018 10:12 AM

I thought he would get more.

And then there was Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), who spoke with CNN’s Manu Raju yesterday on Capitol Hill.

Asked if he had any concerns that Trump was implicated, Hatch told CNN: “The Democrats will do anything to hurt this president.” Informed it was alleged by federal prosecutors in New York, Hatch said: “OK, but I don’t care, all I can say is he’s doing a good job as president.” […]

“I don’t think he was involved in crimes but even then, you know, you can make anything a crime under the current laws if you want to, you can blow it way out of proportion, you can do a lot of things.”

The retiring Utah Republican added that “we ought to judge” Trump on the health of the economy, not on his suspected crimes.

I don’t believe I’ve ever hea
Because what the fuck else are they going to say?

BaldBastard 12-12-2018 10:20 AM

They took over 150 hours of phone calls Cohen had recorded of clients.
Trump is a client of Cohen.. so was Hannity

:0

"During his remarks to the courtroom Cohen, while referring to President Trump, said that he is committed to “ensuring that history will not remember me as the villain of this story."

"I take full responsibility for each act that I pled guilty to: The personal ones to me and those involving the President of the United States of America," he said."

A U.S. president that helped Russia politically invade America doesn't want to be remembered as the villain of this story... Lol, bro has no idea what's in store for him, his legacy and his entire family.

They may need to migrate to Russia.

MFCT 12-12-2018 10:30 AM

This is the small stuff, and beside the point. When does Trump get impeached and when does Hillary take the office of president?

Hannity deleted a LOT of his old tweets today. Including tweets about Cohen, Manafort the NRA & Russia.

They're saying he might be close to being indicted for something.

This just starting. Now they will take everything Cohen told them and use that against Trump.

Don't forget, Michael Cohen was the deputy national finance chairman of the Republican National Committee :2 cents:

Trump's personal lawyer will serve as key RNC finance executive

Only 3 years... pretty lame. Let's see what Mannafort gets.

He'll actually only spend 2 1/2 years in jail as American federal prison reduces your sentence 15% each month for being a good boy while in the slammer.

US President Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen, who once said he’d take a bullet for him, has lashed out at his ex-boss' "dirty deeds" as he was given a 36-month prison sentence.

Cohen is the first member of Mr Trump's inner circle to be jailed over the special counsel's inquiry into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

He admitted lying to Congress, campaign finance violations and tax evasion.

In a New York court Cohen, 52, blamed his crimes on Mr Trump.

The disgraced attorney told Judge William Pauley on Wednesday that Mr Trump had caused him to "follow a path of darkness rather than light".

He told the court his "weakness was a blind loyalty to Donald Trump" and that he "felt it was my duty to cover up his dirty deeds".]

Trump's attorney he barely knew him.... he was the coffee boy attorney.

I heard some right wing nutter radio today and they were busy bashing Hillary about her book tour or whatever she's doing. They spent 5 minutes on that story.. Then literally said "in other news Cohen "one" of Trumps former attorneys was sentenced to jail..

That's all they said.. They did everything to make it sound like it was no big deal and he was just some random attorney...

Bladewire 12-12-2018 03:48 PM

So far they've got Trump for money laundering, illegal corporate donation made directly to a candidate, illegally large individual donation, and what else?

Acepimp 12-12-2018 03:56 PM

A few charges were under-reporting income on taxes and things not related to The Donald. Three years for all those first-time offenses is fine, considering the millions in fines he has to pay.

March 6 he finds out where he’ll go to jail. I’m thinking a country-club prison like Martha Stewart and not a hardcore prison with murderers and rapists. I’m curious if he’s about to be disbarred. Lawyers with prison records aren’t in demand.

Will he get extra visitation if The Donald intervenes? Extra pudding? Or will he get toilet cleaning duty, kitchen dishes or shower scrubbing duties?

He’ll get out, write a book blaming The Donald and outside influences, do a tv tour and teach at some college about what not to do as a lawyer.

You gotta love it when the rats start to abandon ship.

crockett 12-13-2018 04:11 AM

The kicker in all this was the "suprise" Enquirer no prosecution conviction. That was a case by the NY DA not the Muller team and it basically backs up everything Cohen said.

Meaning they now have two convictions of two separate sources which both state the reason for the payoffs were for Trump's campaign..

Mr Pheer 12-13-2018 04:51 AM

He will get into RDAP and knock a year off his sentence, plus 15% for good behavior.

I doubt very much if he spends a year in jail as he will continue to work with Muller etc and they will reduce his sentence. All he has to do is spill the beans on CHUMP!
