Comey "Repulicans scared of Fox news and tweets"

Its nice He's finally breaking his quiet and calling these guys out as the traitors they are.

Former FBI Director James Comey is back, and he has some harsh words for all Republicans.

After a six-hour, closed-door interview with two House committees on Monday, Comey emerged to slam lawmakers as obsessed with "Hillary Clinton's emails and the Steele dossier." What they should be focused on, Comey said, is how President Trump is "attacking the FBI and attacking the rule of law in this country."

Comey, who used to be a Republican, particularly called out GOP legislators for not facing their "fear of Fox News, fear of their base, fear of mean tweets." And in what seemed to be a direct hit on Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) and other departing Republicans, Comey questioned why lawmakers would "slink away into retirement" rather than "stand up for the values of this country."

Comey is a true American. If you haven't had a chance to read or listen to his book you won't be disappointed.

Mueller should be awarded the Nobel Peace prize when this is all over :2 cents:

They will change their tune in January, after holidays with their constituents.

The Republican party has been taken over.

In the past the Republican party used about all about protecting the country. It's painfully obvious that the Russian government interfered with our elections. They bought ads to help the GOP and Mr. trump on social media. They went so far as to use social media to set up entire events that people were tricked into showing up and tricked into supporting.

Collusion between the Russian government and Mr. trump's campaign has been well documented. We have sixteen points of contact between the Russian government and Mr. trump's campaign. We have secret meetings in the Trump Tower, Russia donating tens of millions of dollars to NRA who then tripled their donations to Mr trump's campaign, and a Russian spy running around with GOP people using the NRA as cover.

The best one is Jared wanting to set up a "secret line of communication" between Mr. trumps administration and the Russian government. Think about this for a moment. Why would the White House need a SECRET line of communication with the Russian government? Why would the President of the United States not want the State Department involved in every conversation the President has with the Russian government? Why would the President of the United States not want the CIA to know about every single conversation with the Russian government? The State Department and the CIA work for the President; The President doesn't need permission from the State Department and the CIA.

The only reason the President would need a secret line of communication with the Russian government would be if the President was colluding with the Russian government.

Don't forget that Cohen revealed that Trump was in talks with Putin about a Moscow Trump tower until the month he got elected. Let that sink in.... all through the primaries , through the Republican convention, through the creation of the pro Russia Republican platform, through him barking over and over and over again on TV that he has no business with Russia....

The latest Senate Report which Republicans controlling the Senate quietly released shows Russia was far more active than what has been shown so far.

They went so far as trying to blackmail people here in the US. Its almost a forgoing conclusion that they have some Republicans in their pocket..

Yea, we know he is a liar but fucking A, he brings new meaning to lying politicians...

It's nice to see how quickly the red hats have squirmed away from the defense line of "but He's diffrent from all the other politicians" and "he isn't owned by anyone" or "he speaks the truth says things straight up"...

Pretty much the only thing they can cling to is.. "he's racist like me"

No doubt they went all out.

It's rather interesting how they created entire groups for a "made up" cause, promoted it, people not only fell for it hook line and sinker, but they also attended events set up and created by people in Russia....

People in politics and religion believe in their cause so much sometimes that they will believe anything that fits into their beliefs. It's sad really.

Its pretty bad when they rally behind the idea that gut feeling of what they want to be true, trump actual provable facts..

Comey is no 'big' hero in my book.
He himself caved to pressure of the GOP to give more credentials to the email investigation. While I don't fault him for the investigation which was warranted, it played out twice where it should have went away or at least not in the spotlight during the elections. He knew better.

Now he did bring many valid issues to the plate and I think it has obvious answers.
1st it should be said and known that most of these politicians have something they hide in their closet. Everyone knows that you can't use US intel services to investigate your opponent but there is nothing stopping that intel from foreign sources from having a play.
It could very well be this played out through the NRA or plenty of other non-profits, but it seems logical it has been done in a micro-managed style that is hard to see on the surface.

Let's face it most of these folks have a dirty past. Many of them may have truly good intent in the end but this is about control. Who can control you with that info.

You might think you fix the current problem by going after the current players, but unless you change the rules of the game, it will continue and resurface again. Perhaps next time with fewer mistakes in getting caught.

The politicians will have their hands full for the next 6 years cleaning up this mess and most likely all will be forgotten about how we came to this and nothing will be done with meaningful substance.

On the bright side, the majority of those new to the House were not in the political system long to be corrupted by the system. But that also brings a bit less skillful thinking that may be easily be out-flanked when it comes to the rules of order.
So, it will be the next election in 2020 that will set the plank/tone going forward and I prey that fixing these core issues to prevent it from happening again is a major part of it.

But you rarely get what you fail to demand. It's up to the people to clean house.
Don't forget about the core issues that got us here in this ugly place.
