good nite Laverne :(
Marshall starred alongside Cindy Williams in the hit ABC comedy "Laverne & Shirley," which aired from 1976 to 1983. As a filmmaker, she became the first woman to direct a film that grossed more than $100 million with "Big," the 1988 comedy starring Tom Hanks. She also directed "A League of Their Own," ''Jumpin' Jack Flash" and "Awakenings."

Very talented indeed. Last week I saw the episode of Happy Days that gave us Laverne and Shirley. I watch Michael McKean, who played Lenny, on the Cooking Channel show, Food: Fact or Fiction.

Laverne and Shirley had Lucy-style slapstick comedy, I read.

How many of you tried milk and Pepsi?!

She had several $100 million movies as director.

RIP Carole Penny Marshall. She was named after Carole Lombard.

I agreed with her politically. :(

Some might say that Laverne and Shirley was better than Happy Days.
