Limit Tier 3 Countries Google Traffic
 

Hello,

I'm getting a lot of google traffic from India lately. It burns a lot of bandwidth and Don't make much money.

I want to stay google seo friendly, so i can't redirect indian traffic to ads or block Google India.

What are the solutions?

Google doesn't care if you block a group of IP's, they just don't want you redirecting based on IP's :2 cents:

What kind of hosting are you using? Maybe changing hosting provider would be a better solution.

As for redirecting based on IP, don't do that, Google hates that and will punish you for it.

Redirect it to some ad network. You wont get much either but atleast your bandwidth wont be wasted.

If i would give a damn what google like , i would be out of business years ago :1orglaugh Beside you can always revert in case of problems.

Use Cloudflare and just block the entire country.

Do you think it will have impact on other countries google traffic on a long term if i block india traffic?

Having same problem with a shitload of horny Chinese guys looking to be dominated. Somehow baidu found one of my old blogs and they are eating bandwidth now there

Yes but blocking Baidu with robots.txt won't have impact on your google traffic.

Nope, and cloudflare is the best way to block if your using them. If not you should be, the free version is quite robust and has a multitude of features that you shouldn't be living without :2 cents:
