TPP goes into effect and fucks US farmers all over again

Trump pulled the US out of the TPP because it was a "bad deal".... now US farmers are about get fucked all over again.

#morewinning

American farmers are facing the "imminent collapse" of key markets and fear uneven trade playing fields as Australian, Canadian and other rival nations take advantage of the soon-to-be implemented Trans-Pacific Partnership.

After President Donald Trump withdrew the US from the TPP on just his third day in the White House in 2017, the States will be left on the sidelines when the re-shaped TPP-11 comes into effect 12am on Sunday AEDT.

Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and Singapore were the first nations to ratify the agreement, formally titled the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement. Vietnam, Chile, Brunei, Peru and Malaysia are set to follow in coming months

US farmers, already hit hard by Trump's tariff battle with China and the lack of a free trade agreement with Japan, are bracing to immediately lose market share.

The pig fucking over farmers. Sad

Hopefully they can hang in there for 2 years until a new POTUS with negotiating skills takes office.

Putty could never allow TTP, would of made the implementation of sanctions a reality, so he had the troll teams go full retard on it.

Trumps unlikely to get a single signed trade pact completed, sure there's been a lot of talk, but no signed deals on the tables yet.

The complexities of getting multiple countries into a deal was nothing sort of amazing with TTP, then Trump pulled out, and they have regrouped and resigned, its still open to the USA joining and incidentally.. China as well

https://www.scmp.com/news/china/dipl...-hedge-against

If China was to do that... move out of the USA collapse is imminent

heheh

This is the even bigger problem... The entire point of the TPP was to prevent China from joining... Now it looks like the direct opposite is going to happen - the United States will be blocked out, and China will be in it and run it....

US can't join on this TTP deal, Trump leaves because of trade deficit rising during this union can lead into bankruptcy.

The best part is we had those market shares now Trump started a Tarriffs war so they replaced our product with others. Even if a new trade deal is hammered out, the market share is already gone so to get it back new deals would have to be cut by the sellers and buyers meaning most likely the farmers get fucked again even if they can get the market share back..

Trump has fucked the US.. the meat industry alone has said they expect to lose a billion dollars in sales over the next 5 years due to exports lost from the tarriffs..

That's exactly it. It will take a decade to undo the damage Trump has done.

TPP is an abomination, fucking over European high quality farmers to compete with a cartel where the lowest common denominator will be the guideline. Sending production quality guidelines from Europe back to the stone age, where we'll be eating genetically modified corn and poisoned crops soon again, after being banned for years for the benefit of public health.

No developed western country that places public health above multinational corporate gains ignoring public health should be advocating for TPP in the first place. Educate yourself, or enjoy your synthetically manipulated food like a good zombie.

You dipshits should be applauding the US for not implementing this disastrous global public health threat. Educate yourself before jumping on the global bandwagon :2 cents:

Why did you leave out Chile, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam, Peru and Mexico? Convenience?

And what does your obsession with Putins ass has to do with any of this?

Just because some western countries who are puppets to global control are in there doesn't mean you should jump on the bandwagon for unhealthy food. You know, that stuff you eat every single day, that stuff your body and mind reacts to and is the core of good or bad health, life expectancy and disease. Oh yeah that's right, fracking is going to cause earthquakes and mass pollute of the ground waterways, I remember every Russian troll alarming the world to this... So now tell me 5 years later, how did that go?

Did the earth quakes happen? And most importantly is America importing more or less oil now than they were 10 years ago?? and then remind me of the reason for that, and then remind me the ONLY reason trump was able to fuck with Iran, and not have the price of oil and gas triple

I'd guess every leader has to make decisions they don't like or agree with, fracking for gas and oil is one of those. The important thing is how it's balanced with investment in renewables. America now is capable of creating its own oil needs, while the demand for that oil diminishes and renewables replace, the path is clear to any 5 year old what the country will be more dependant on in 25 years.

Trump seems to be doing his best to reverse that trend... which is insanity.

Personally I'm against fracking, same with nuclear power, however I accept both are necessary evils and should be allowed... just please throw $9 of my tax dollars at renewables for every $1 spent on fracking locations, eventually then we all win, well not Towelheads & Russia.. sorry about that.

TPP is about protecting American industries.

Third World countries have now won so much of the First World's consumer market they are on course to overtake the First and become superior. But none of you give a shit if your customer base becomes to poor to buy what you're offering.

The shame is this President isn't doing enough to protect American jobs.

Keep in mind that when resources aren't leaving the US, prices go down for US consumers. We saw this with natural gas. It was dirt cheap and then they built up the infrastructure to put it on the global market and prices have since gone way up.

Look for food prices at the grocery store to go down.

US sanctions against Russia gives them than they lose part market and receive the competitor :)

How an Oil Giant (Russia) Came to Dominate Wheat
Russia, a leading exporter of crude oil for decades now, is increasingly dominating another critical global commodity. Its output of wheat has surged in recent years as good growing conditions boost farmers’ profits, allowing them to reinvest in better seeds and equipment. As low oil prices hurt the ruble, making grain more alluring for overseas buyers, Russia grabbed more of the wheat-export market from major shippers like the U.S. This is particularly welcome news for Russia as it tries to cut its dependence on agricultural imports, after it banned imports of some western foods in retaliation to sanctions imposed over the annexation of Crimea.

You don't seem to understand what is happening. It's not a matter of prices. When 90% of your product is sold to one country, and suddenly tariffs make it impossible to sell to that country.... 90% of your product (and 100% of your profit margin) goes to waste. They have farmers with product sitting in silos that they can't sell.... They can't wait until next year; everything will rot before them.

Trump just fucked farmers. Hard. In the ass.

In FY 2019 total US government spending on welfare — federal, state, and local — is “guesstimated” to be $1,179 billion, including $721 billion for Medicaid, and $458 billion in other welfare. There is the reason for so many government debts.

the worldwide stock markets fell today because of this because china was the economic motor in the past 10 years.
if china fails the whole world gets in trouble but the world will find a way to fix it again and the world will not forget WHO caused the problem.

the basis mistake you make is that you do not see that we all need thosw "poor countries" to buy our stuff.

if you would come up with your solutions GLOBALLY and not as a national issue, some of your ideas would even work.
but you can not think that this will ever work as an exclusive solution for just one little community that is not even representing 5% of the world´s population.

how dumb do you think is the rest of the world ?

what do you think will happen in a country where people are not forced to have a health insurance?

a. young people will think they never get sick.
b. if the start to get sick they will not see a doctor as long it is time.
c. when it is too late the community have to stand the medical costs on low level - people will just stay sick alive but will never be cured.

same thing and all here with a brain told you BEFORE !

aha and this numbers from 2014 what are showing an INCREASE of exports.
i can not remember for now WHO was the president than... it was not trump - his name started with an OOOOOOOOOOO

Quote:

Blaming only Trump for this is idiotic, it's been growing for decades and no one until Trump has said it must stop or at least slow down.
who else you want to blame ?
he is the one who did everything wrong and all what you see now is a direct result of his stupid policy.

in not a single year before the USA made more new debt as in the trump years. how comes when the economy is booming?
and why is the increase of GDP exactly as big as the new debts?

if you own a shop with small revenue you can go to the bank and ask for a loan.
with this loan you buy your own products and you can go to the bank again and show them HOW MUCH more you made and they will give you more money.
HOW LONG do you think this will work ?
