Was actually the warmest new year I can remember in the east.

It's moronic on three levels:

1. He doesn't understand how climate change works. One day of data doesn't have anything to do with an overall trend.

2. He doesn't know how to read a weather report because it was the warmest New Year's Eve in many years.
