For all of China's bragging rights, China does not have a blue water navy. Meaning the United States can sail entire naval fleets around the world while the Chinese rarely ventures far from home. China might be able to control and dominate the South China Sea and East China sea, but not much else. Keep in mind while the South China Sea and East China sea is part of the Pacific Ocean, it's really surrounded by land - Vietnam, Philippines, Taiwan, and Japan. In some cases, the Chinese navy might have to fight it's way past these countries - certainly so with Japan.

That's why we were able to bomb the living shit out of Germany and Japan...but they were never able to touch our homeland. We're all over this motherfucking planet. They're all "over there".
