Ann Coulter Says Trump ‘Will Fold’ on Border Wall

Ann Coulter, perhaps the most vocal Trump supporter pushing for a wall on the southern border, said on Wednesday the president will cave on his demand for a wall.

In an interview with radio host Mark Simone, Coulter noted, “the president and I have had a little tiff.”

She continued: “For one thing, he actually did shut down the government — though don’t worry, he will fold in the end.”

Coulter decried the president last month after the senate passed a continuing resolution to stave off a government shutdown that didn’t allocate funding for a border wall. Trump reversed course shortly after, re-upping his demand for a border wall and sending the government into a partial shutdown that’s now on day 12.

Coulter added “the one person who deserves the most credit of all — for going ballistic when Trump caved on wall funding right before Christmas — which I think we got him to take back — is Matt Drudge. He was the one who put it up as the siren.”

“It just shows you how the media is so terrified of Drudge that they will not mention him,” she said, adding the media would rather focus on Fox News. “Fox was like three days behind the game.”

“He really does set the national agenda, as he did with this,” Coulter added of Drudge.

At the end of the interview, she turned back to Trump: “If he doesn’t build the wall, the next president will be a Democrat.”

The next President will be a Democrat no matter what. Democrats take control in the next few days and they will start launching investigation after investigation. They aren't in a hurry; They have Trump right where they want him. Trump is already under investigation in every way imaginable, but now with the Democrats having the ability to launch investigations they will go for it. Once the election starts they will start dropping bomb after bomb after bomb.

Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day. The Dems will take power in the House and immediately pass seven budget bills, of which six were already approved by the Senate and the seventh gives over a billion dollars for border security.

If the Senate doesn't pass them Democrats will ask why they were okay with these bills 3 weeks ago and not now. If the Senate passes them, Trump will either have to sign or veto. If he signs, he looks like he caved. If he vetoes, there will be no doubt as to who this shutdown belongs too.

They'll reliably stand by their Orange Man. There may be a couple who have some balls, but collectively the Republicans in the Senate will bitch out and stand by Trump out of pure political fear. Those Senators are experiencing terror for their political futures. They're less scared of ISIS than they are of Trump's Twitter account.

The Republicans constantly put themselves into no win situations.... It's like healthcare. The promised to kill Obamacare, but they can't - because they know if they do millions of people will lose their healthcare. So they don't kill it (breaking a major campaign promise) or they kill healthcare which results in millions of people losing healthcare.

They could have passed something, but you can bet the bill's top priority would be breaks and kickbacks for anyone who donates to their campaign fund. Then maybe some people would be able to buy an expensive plan with a giant premium, no pre-existing conditions, etc. Then they would act like they did something great hoping the voters don't figure out they just got fucked in the ass by the Paul Ryan Special.
