Keep Track of Your Website Uptime for Free
 

Many of you probably use a service like this, however for those that don't here is a service you will find useful.

Uptime Robot allows you to monitor up to 50 website's uptime for free, notifying you when a site or service is down, via email or via the API.

It's free for up to 50 sites and then quite inexpensive for more.

The dashboard and tools are simple and easy to use, the feature set is limited by your imagination because they have an API. If you can't use an API just get email alerts about your sites and use the simple dashboard. Any time a site goes down you'll get an alert.

I use it, 5 mins check (free plan) probably isn't enough to catch random short down times but it's better than nothing.

I think a 5 minute check is fine for most non critical applications.

If you had any significant problems then you'd be getting notifications because the interval at 5 minutes would probably catch problems eventually.

Great service and hopefully you'll *almost* forget you have it monitoring your website.

I've used the free plan for about a year, always works for me :thumbsup

thats what i have had on loads free blogs for years, they are still worth using

this is great, saves having to check sites, blogs, and be able to just receive an email if it´s down so you can sort out why or what´s happened...
