Now Trump Says He ‘Never Said’ Mexico Would Pay for the Wall LOL

LINK

Quote:

U.S. President Donald Trump is doubling down on claims that Mexico was paying for the proposed border wall between their two countries, saying he “never meant they’re going to write out a cheque.”

Trump reiterated his claim that Mexico is paying for the wall via the new, un-ratified Canada-U.S.-Mexico Trade Agreement (CUSMA) while speaking to reporters at the White House before visiting the Texas border town of McAllen on the 20th day of a partial government shutdown.

Trump has held out for $5.7 billion in partial wall funding during talks with congressional leaders to reopen the government. Democrats have held steadfast in their opposition to providing any money for a border wall.

Except he did say that, several times.

FACT CHECK: Mexico is not paying for the border wall, despite what Trump says

Rochard 01-11-2019 07:28 AM

Suckers fell for it too. As if Mexico was ever going to pay billions for a wall in the United States. My lord people are stupid.

I check out several political debate forums and the Trump supporters are actually claiming they never took his words literally. They never believed Mexico would actually pay for the wall - although that's exactly what he said - but instead that the wall would be paid for indirectly by other means.

They can't ever admit they were wrong and they lie to themselves to the point they believe they were never wrong. It's why they constantly have to move the goal posts, change the talking points then project onto others.

The sad part is I don't even think these guys realize they are doing it. They have mental flaws to where it all seems normal to them. It's why the same type of people are attracted to Trump and it's why it's always the exact same types of people supporting him. It's because they all have the same mental defects.

I recently spoke to a buddy who I've known for years and is a hardcore religious type. Obviously, he voted for Trump and continues to support him, although he does admit that he lies a lot and acts a pompous fool. However, he said that he strongly agrees with Trump' policies.

He said something to me the other day that I've been pondering ever since. It was something along the lines of "I'd rather have a liar as president whose policies I agree with, than an honest politician whose policies I don't agree with."

You started with: "he is a hardcore religious type" and that explains everything. To be hardcore religious, you have to possess a certain skill which is : the complete and utter lack of critical thinking.

To be able to completely ignore all arguments and to hold on to an ideology into which you were indoctrinated as a child requires absolute willpower to not put into question your own beliefs regardless of overwhelming evidence right in front of you.

Apply this to politics and you'll see how his quote makes sense.

That doesn't even make sense. So we are going to pay for the wall out of our tax dollars, and private businesses will get the money from trade deals?

The money cannot come from US tax dollars. If Republicans want this wall they can start a Go Fund Me account and use that money to do whatever they want.

And here is what the media is NOT telling any of you. Trump said from the very beginning exactly what he was going to do. But the media is pretending it never happened to keep all of you sheep in line.

Let's go back THREE years...before Trump had won a single primary in the Republican race.

This is a story from August 2015 when candidate Trump explained HOW Mexico would pay for the wall:
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...0QL0NN20150816

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump would increase fees on some Mexican visas and all border crossing cards as part of a broader plan to force Mexico to pay for a wall along the southern U.S. border.

Trump, the frontrunner in a crowded Republican field, has made immigration a central plank of his campaign. On NBC’s “Meet the Press,” he said he would deport all undocumented immigrants and rescind U.S. President Barack Obama’s executive orders on immigration.

The orders, if enacted, could protect as many as 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation.

In a policy paper issued on Sunday, Trump said he would increase fees on temporary visas for Mexican chief executives, diplomats and North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) workers if Mexico does not agree to pay for the wall.

The NAFTA agreement of 1994 eliminated most tariff and other barriers to free trade and investment between the United States, Canada and Mexico. It permits the temporary cross-border movement of business travelers within the region.

Trump said he would also impound all remittance payments derived from illegal wages and increase fees at ports of entry from Mexico. Foreign aid cuts and tariffs would also be considered.

“The Mexican government has taken the United States to the cleaners,” he said. “They are responsible for this problem, and they must help pay to clean it up.”

Mexico’s foreign ministry declined to comment directly on Trump’s proposals but said in an emailed statement that Mexicans make a significant contribution to the United States economy, and that net migration between the two countries reached zero in 2012.

Trump began his campaign in June by saying Mexico is sending its criminals and rapists to the U.S. The comment sparked outrage from Hispanic civil rights groups and others.

In his new position paper, Trump said he would triple the number of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and pay for the increase by eliminating tax credit payments to illegal immigrants.

He would also increase penalties for people who overstay their visas and end the policy of giving automatic citizenship to the children of illegal immigrants.

Applicants seeking to enter the U.S. would have to certify that they could pay for their own housing, healthcare and other needs, he said, and he would raise the bar for the admission of refugees and asylum-seekers.

Trump said he would also place the issuing of green cards to foreign workers on pause so employers would have to hire from the domestic pool of unemployed workers.

“This will help reverse women’s plummeting workplace participation rate, grow wages, and allow record immigration levels to subside to more moderate historical averages,” he said.

Trump didn't do any of those things listed in that article you pasted. Fail

Now he is holding America hostage so we pay for the wall.

Go-to his campaign website, he tells you right there what he'll do to get Mexico to pay for the wall.

Sorry man. I didn't know you were waiting for me on GFY.

And I have Bladewire on "ignore" so I have no idea what he said or how he thinks he proved anyone wrong.
All he ever did was insult people while making no rational points at all. So he's on "ignore".

I see you didn't say anything that makes any sense either. Just your idea of a "clever" picture to be "funny" and pretend you might have a brain.

Well, I think you are a joke. You're definitely not a serious person if you are in any way wanting to hang with idiot trolls in conversation while offering no serious discussion points.

So...using my criteria: Are you actually in the industry? Nope.
Can you make me any money? Nope.
Are you worthless to me? Yep.

I now place you on "Ignore". Goodbye.

As I said before, Robbie puts people on ignore that prove him wrong and back him into a corner too often.

Robbie isn't a critical thinker, he's a follower & enabler. He's a yes man beta cuck that will defend anything said & done by his assigned Alpha (trump). He also reads everything posted by me :winkwink:

That's entirely 100% true.

But what else is one supposed to do when you're in your 50's and you still believe you're going to be a rock star?
