The Mule - Movie

Big fan of Clint Eastwood and looking forward to this. Not out here (the UK) for another week yet. Anyone here seen it?

lezinterracial 01-12-2019 10:38 AM

My parents saw it and loved it. I think I would have a difficult time watching Clint Eastwood play an old man.

That looks quite good imho...

I certainly wouldn't go to the cinema for it, but when it comes on Sky, I'll probably give it a watch :thumbsup

Not so much because its Clint Eastwood, but more for the premise of the plot.

Movies don't fend me from boredom like they used to . . .

brassmonkey 01-13-2019 06:02 AM

if you like crying... he is on a mission of sadness. will not watch this one

Oh Dear ! lol

I have never paid for a 'new release' on Sky. I just wait for them to be the 'Premier of the day' included in my sub :)

Rochard 01-13-2019 08:14 AM

I saw it and I thought it was great. It was very much like Gran Torino.

I liked The Meg. No, it isn't a very good movie, but it is what it is, a big, loud, over the top, monster movie. It was fun, if you are in the right mood for it.

I'm not a fan of Clint Eastwood as a director. I even thought Unforgiven is pretty overrated.

But there's nothing in the world better than 60's or early 70's Clint Eastwood as an actor. The Sergio Leone westerns, Dirty Harry, Kelly's Heroes, Where Eagles Dare, etc. If I catch anything like that on TV I'll stop and watch. That guy was something special.

Phoenix 01-13-2019 03:51 PM

It is on my list

I thought it was good but not great, which is what a Clint Eastwood film should be. :P

It's not what it should be...bot more often than not, it is.

SBJ 01-14-2019 05:31 PM

I'm waiting for at least 4 GFYers to say they hate it cause then I will know I'll love it.

It looks like a good movie to rent when it comes out but I don't see myself going out to see it. :2 cents:

huey 01-14-2019 06:32 PM

Saw it last night. Good flick. If you liked Grand Torino you will like this movie. Pretty much same type of story.

If you say so.

J. Falcon 01-15-2019 02:55 AM

Clint Eastwood is still the man.

PR_Glen 01-15-2019 01:37 PM

it's alright. pretty flat at the end and no character arc other than his, which is kind of weak.

It's called The Mule.

Not The Mule and a Bunch of Other People.

J. Falcon 01-19-2019 06:11 PM

Going to the theater to watch this now, will let everyone - especially bronco67 - know what I think when I get back.

GAMEFINEST 01-19-2019 06:15 PM

I would say it was good
